I experienced issues with trying to do the download as well. Now that Build 204 is installed, I wish I had not upgraded. Terrible latency now in the video window when you are trying to edit, audio keeps going but video now freezes constantly and then jumps ahead after 10 or more seconds, then it starts all over again. Never had this issue with the prior builds. Anyone else having these issues? Is it possible to go back to the prior build?

@rcflyer VEGAS DVD Architect is no more bundled with any purchases of VMSP/S (or VPro). Instead the buyers should get SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 14. This comment/advice is valid for VEGAS DVD Architect as well.

was able to download &install update using MicrosoftEdge but the update notification still appears everytime I open MS17 so IDK if its updated or not
-the file in Downloads claims it is

@SantomPhith17 see this comment. Run the relevant .exe file if you find it.

First see Online Help dropdownmenu > About > General to find your installed build number. The latest build is 159 (basic) / 204 (Platinum.

yes i did get SF14. thanks for the reply. one thing on my wish list was to have the ability to change the menu/back round colors to something more pleasant to look at. Is there anyway to create a dvd using VMS17?

Yess ore BRD but not with a menu if you have not a version of DVDA. without that only a DVD file with "Make Movie" and you have to try another burn software to make a menu.

@rcflyer In VMSP 17 you can use the Make Movie Wizard to render your project and burn it to a DVD. If you want menus, you need DVD A.

rcflyer wrote on 11/8/2020, 3:27 PM

I guess i can install 16 and use the dvd a. From that

@rcflyer as you know, the same VEGAS DVD Architect versions were bundled with VMSP 16 and early VMSP 17 purchases.

But if you registrated that program on Magix the also registered DVDA in your Account there is available to download seperately.

It shouldn't. DVDA is an entirely stand alone programme. But VMS17 may not link through to it. Export from VMS17 with compliant video and audio files and then import them into DVDA.

Yess, even with GPU that is a lot more powerfull than yours. It is common for help from NVENC, it is not stoppen but going from very fast to a bit slower  repeatedly.
