Vegas 18 auf einem Mac Mini M1

MasKla wrote on 7/19/2021, 4:19 AM

Liebe Community!

Thomas

Does this advice not help? https://www.magix.com/us/magazine/common/use-windows-programs-mac/

(Please note the correct branding of the software.)

@vkmast: unfortunately not.
This is what Sony Vegas tells me:

You don't have SONY Vegas you have Vegas Pro.

The VEGAS Support standard advice in German here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/de/support/artikel/fehler-2147163964-oder-download-ist-fehlerhaft--707/

A previous related thread that may not help though https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/de/forum/mchammer-x64-dll-error--128416/

If nobody comes up with a working suggestion, try asking at https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/de/support/interview/

(And as I said and Eric as well, that's not "Sony" Vegas.)

@MasKla Looks like you've found an app that won't load on an M1 running Parallels. I know it's been said that there's a performance hit unless a Win10 app is specifically converted to a "Universal" for the M1. But I was under the impression media apps would at least load and run. Apparently not all. Have you tried other Win10 apps and had any better results? DaVinci Resolve would be a good test candidate. I believe it's available in both Win10 and Mac versions. Be interesting to hear if you can run them both and, if so, how its Mac and Win10 performance compares.

@MasKla I had the same problem. I contacted Parallels support and they gave me instructions to load a different version of Windows 10. I did, and my version of Vegas (17) installed! Unfortunately it crashes as soon as a project gets loaded :-(

I am still trying to figure it out.... but it's been frustrating. I might be looking at FCP and reworking everything... :-/

These are the instructions Parallels gave me:
