Maybe you should roll back to the previous version that has worked for you, if you need it for today?

Ok , got a tip from Reyfox to use Revo uninstaller to clean up everything from Vegas

That did the trick, I could install Vegas without any problem

Reyfox wrote on 3/22/2023, 1:21 PM

I opened Vegas, saw the update message and decided to update from within Vegas Pro. Yes, it's slow, but I had time. Once the download was complete, clicking on the appropriate boxes to start the removal and installation, it started, and just sat there doing nothing. I looked at Task Manager to see if there was any activity, like Disk which should have been accessed for the uninstall, and there was nothing. I waited and waited and waited. Nothing.

I clicked Cancel, and nothing happened. Then finally, End Task. Let's start over. I downloaded the full build from the Forum. But first, went to Windows to uninstall, and couldn't. Error message that I sadly didn't copy. I tried reinstalling and couldn't. Stuck like @Wiew. No way to uninstall or reinstall.

Finally, Revo Uninstaller Pro, my nuclear option. Although it couldn't uninstall Vegas, it could go through the Registry for everything Vegas. Yes, delete it all. Then Revo looks for all related folders. Yes, delete them too. Once that was done, I was able to install the 370 build and all is well. Of course, I had to set everything back up again. Transfer scripts back to the appropriate folder, setup windows, etc.. Now, back to normal.

But the process to uninstall/reinstall from within Vegas Pro just didn't work for me. And if not for Revo, I'd be stuck.

I installed it from the update message and it took about 5 minutes, maybe 10, I didn't check the time. But it was fast and v370 works like a clock. Seems very stable. Worked for hours with it today and not a single crash. Thanks to the dev team.

@john_dennis Mesh Warp got it's animate button back too 👍

Update was quick with no issues about 4pm today using the pop-up when opening Vegas. it took 10mins-ish, I was doing other stuff online so didn't watch the clock but it was fast,

VST3 still doesn't work properly. Neutron 4 on tracks and ozone 10 mix doesn't render. Freezes the program.

"Fixed crash which may occur when reading AVC media"
