They would be giving away the new software at those highly discounted price of $60. I am wondering what discounts that they might offer for Vegas Post...
@JackWhite, I just opened VP18 and got the update at still the same $59 price.
A long time ago I was a moderator of the Magix forum and a betatester of Magix Videodeluxe. I have 37 Magix audiovisual programs registered (since 2005) in my personal account and I don't remember if I had activated the sending of information, but I just activated it by following your link. If I receive anything by e-mail, I'll let you know.
By email I can buy the upgrade. I did not remember that I was already registered for the mailing of information and since yesterday the offer was in the mailbox:
But I log out before completing. I'll think about it.
It's crazy. I've Vegas 5,6, 10,15,16 and 18. Longtime, albeit very light home user, but not seeing any offers by email or notification, and signed up for both. Disappointing that offers seem to be so random.
@JackWhite ... Have you got "Use Newsfeed ......" checked 'on' in Options/Preferences/General (tab). If not, check it to 'on' and the upgrade offer should pop-up when next opening Vegas Pro. I've just tried that in Vegas Pro 16 and the upgrade offer popped up on the next opening of VP16 - but it was for Vegas Edit 20 only. I've not received any email offers as far as can recall.
@vkmast ... my MAGIX My Account shows that I am subscribed - something I can't recall doing but probably did years ago. Oddly, the default language was Danish which I have now changed to English. Even odder, I'm actually going to be in Copenhagen in 3 months time.
@Dexcon my MAGIX My Account also shows "Dansk" as default (as it's first in the dropdown menu). I've used "Cancel" at its Info Service as I registered using the other link.
Thanks @vkmast ... I went to that page earlier but it wouldn't accept my email address because it was already in use (probably via My Account) so I've now used an older but current email address and see what happens with both email addresses.
@vkmast although I bought Vegas in the States via VPN, and do have a stateside address and bank account, when I clicked on the email to "purchase", the login page was in German.
