Vegas Post + Movie Expansion Pack 1 paid for but NOT DELIVERED!

Tracy-Hounshell wrote on 10/26/2021, 9:27 PM

Last week I purchased Vegas Post and the Movie Expansion Pack Volume 1 for $798.

I received an email from Magix with download information, but that information is incorrect.

I am unable to contact Magix support (I have already sent 2 requests for support. so far no response back).

These are my problems:

Problem #1:  The download link for NewBlue Titler Pro 7 does not work! I received this download link in my purchase receipt email: http://www.newbluefx.com/downloads/Magix/NewBlueTitlerPro7VegasPro19-210730.exe That link does not work from California. I tried getting the software directly from NewBlue, but the provided license key does not work with that version. I need Magix to provide me with the NewBlue Titler Pro 7 software and a valid License Key to unlock it.

Problem #2:  I was not given a serial number for Vegas Stream.  That software did not register when I installed Vegas Post.  See the attached screenshot of NewBlueFX to see the issue.  The serial number that was automatically installed is invalid. The screenshot below shows that Vegas Stream is marked "License Error: Invalid signature"

Problem #3: I did not receive an activation key for Boris FX Continuum Transitions Unit. I need Magix to send me an activation key to use the Boris FX Continuum Transitions Unit without a watermark.  This software did not unlock when I installed.

Problem #4:  The Vegas Image software does not work using a Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU.  The web page here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu indicates that Vegas Post works for an Nvidia RTX GPU, but Vegas Image does not recognize the RTX 3090 GPU and will not load an image.

Attached is a screenshot of the NewBlueFX page showing my Magix purchased software does not have proper license keys and another screenshot showing the Vegas Image GPU error when I try and load an image file.

How can I get someone from Magix to help me resolve this? I just want the software I paid for.

my order number is:  ***

I can not speak specifically to your problem, but in the past, when I've purchased Vegas Pro with various NBFX or Boris FX addons, in the email I would receive from Magix, it would include the download links and serial numbers for those products, whether Boris or NBFX, and installation instructions.

As i stated in the post, i did receive an email with most (not all) of the download links and serial numbers. However, some of those provided links and serial numbers don't work, and and some others are missing.

I need to speak with Magix but there seems no easy way to contact them. If after a week they still have not responded then i will contact my bank and dispute the transaction. That will get their attention i bet. It is a shame that i may have to resort to such methods to gain their help.

The issue with not being able to download NewBlue Titler Pro 7 may be related to using CloudFlare DNS.

@vkmast is the person who has the links to contact Magix.

That additional package you added looks great.

How to contact VEGAS Support

Tracy-Hounshell wrote on 10/27/2021, 3:20 PM

The issue with not being able to download NewBlue Titler Pro 7 may be related to using CloudFlare DNS.

I can confirm that CloudFlare DNS was my problem with downloading NewBlue Titler Pro 7. After changing my DNS to not use CloudFlare, I was able to download that software and install it. The license key provided by Magix for Titler Pro 7 worked this time. Problem #1 from my list above is solved! Thank you!! -- unfortunately I still have 3 remaining problems and I am still trying to get in touch with Magix.

I am still trying to get in touch with Magix

If you read my link for VEGAS Support above, you should get to this page: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/support/interview/

Then proceed as advised in the linked comment/advice.

Problem #3 is solved by a complete reinstall. I still have Problem #2 (no license for Vegas Stream) and Problem #4 (Vegas Image does not recognize the Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU). I'm feeling better that this list is getting shorter. Thanks for the help, everybody!

I logged support requests with Magix over a week ago. So far nobody has contacted me. I'm really disappointed with this company's product support.

Don't know if it will help but there's an update to Vegas Stream here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-19-and-vegas-stream--131488/?page=2

Perhaps uninstall your copy first as it didn't work anyway.

Tracy-Hounshell wrote on 11/5/2021, 7:13 PM

Thanks @RogerS -- unfortunately that won't work because Magix did not give me a separate serial number. The Vegas Stream software installs when you install Vegas Post - but it does not register properly. I've already tried re-installing that several times. But everytime I get "License Error: invalid signature" in the NewBlueFx manager. I think Magix needs to issue a fix. I notice from the link you sent there are others with the same problem i have. Magix seems to be ignoring it.

Try posting in that thread as there is a NewBlue affiliated user who may have an idea on the activation issue.
