@richard-p, clearly whatever is happening for you is unusual as no one else has reported such terrible problems. Please post your tech support ticket number here so I can talk to our guys and find out more about the issue you've created with them.

That is strange. I'm always receiving automatic reply with Ticket# on submitting almost instantly. Then in a few days I'm receiving reply from human. I do not say they always resolve the issue or re-producing it but I do receiving replies. In "Sony time" it was a couple of bug reports that I have not receive replies.

Are you sure that these replies are not in spam folder and you actually submitting your bug in proper way?

The main issue I always have -- it is extremely hard for me to find the page where I can submit the bug report.

Last time I was not able to find the page in 15 minutes and I started to read FAQ here where is the page. Even when I find the URL, it was not too easy to get how to submit it...

Is there a way to stop SEMW autolevels from continuing to change? It appears to react to the footage, so there's no way to keyframe it manually.

Well, it's "Auto Levels"...if you need static levels use Vegas Levels instead. :)

Black frames or blacked out clips still appear frequently in Vegas 17 requiring a closing down and reopening to correct. What exactly is the news on this old bug? These appear at times even with cleared or not used Undo.

I'm not seeing complaints by others anymore; have I missed something? My computer specs are listed in my account. Basically, Windows 10 Pro and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 166 Version 441.66 My clips are 1080p Animation Motion JPEG Avi (internal)

I never work with this codec.

The cursor stops and starts during editing playback. This happens on the simplest movie files that I import into the project. I have tried all kinds of settings, nothing works. It makes it nearly impossible to edit and to sync sound. Fundamentally, the cursor does not keep in sync with the video being played.

This does NOT happen using Vegas Pro 14, 15, or 16. The cursor runs smooth immediately and throughout the playback for each of these versions.

I am running the latest version of Windows 10 with all updates, with Intel I7-4790K CPU @ 4.00 GHz processor, 16GB memory, the video card is NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti.

I like Vegas Pro 17, but I can't use it with this problem. Please fix.

Thanks.

Crash after too quickly use "ctrl+z / undo" still exists.

Not for me. A whole day of editing and not a single crash. Not 4K though so time will tell.

My initial experience with VP17 was a crash-fest - I went back to 16. But b421 has proved to be rock solid. Since 421's release, I've only had one crash - and that was from within a BorisFX plugin when using its Mocha option.

And project opening in 421 is quick, and timeline performance is much improved so that I can use Good-Auto rather than Preview-Auto for the Preview window, even with most FX added to the video events.

Overall, I am very happy with VP17 b421.

Sometime stabilised video is correctly played in preview, but after render is super-shaky. And I mean not render two days later and 10kk operations later - just add stabilise, analised and corrected in options, and then rendered in temporary file.

Scott-Bruffey wrote on 7/17/2020, 3:33 AM

Stupid minor issue: I upgraded to 421 but every time I launch Vegas it alerts me that a new version is available and asks if I want to install it. Since this is (as far as I know) the latest version, why is it asking me this? I can just click on Upgrade Later and continue without issue but I'd love to know how to let the program know that it IS upgraded.
