VMS 16: Transitions, Video FX, Media Generator Tree View???

Christophe-Keller wrote on 8/16/2019, 4:09 AM

Hi,

I just upgraded from VMS 10 to 16. All in all, I like the upgrade, except for one thing, which is that the Transitions, Video FX and Media Generators tab were dumbed down.

In the past you could chose a transition/effect in the left part of the pane, and then view the animated presets in the right part of the pane.

This has now been simplified, yet makes our work more complex in finding the right effect and preset to use.

What was the rationale to do this? And can the "legacy" mode of those panes be activated in some way?

Thanks.

This has been discussed and the release notes state that "Simplified Video FX, Transition, and Generated Media windows make these easier to understand and use". Many of the users agree with you and this change is said to be reconsidered. The latest build is still "simplified".

@Christophe-Keller it's not for me to reconsider/implement the change as I'm only a peer user like yourself. It's up to the Magix Vegas team.
