Weird glitch never seen before, NEED HELP! - Vegas 19 Pro

Zachary-Graser wrote on 5/6/2022, 10:53 AM

Hello, I need urgent help with my Vegas 19 which keeps freezing. I had this issue with the previous version of Vegas, thought that was the issue so i bought the newest version and it still keeps happening.

To describe the issue, the timeline bugs out first, then the whole program glitches and then it crashes.

Here is an video to show you what happens in vegas: https://www.reddit.com/r/VegasPro/comments/udvwfr/weird_timeline_glitch_randomly_when_editing_the/ (its my thread on reddit with the video)

I've tried to do tons of research and especially about the " Unmanaged Exception (0xe0434352) ", I've updated all my drivers and windows, reinstalled .net, Cleaned up my windows etcetc but nothing seems to work. Im using BCC and Sapphire plugins and the 19 version of Vegas. I've used Vegas for like 8 years and i've never had this type of an issue before so i am very lost on what to do. It most often occurs after editing smoothly for about 2 hours, then the glitch appears. I reopen vegas and then it seems like the project file just gets stuck as it is and i cant do nothing else but render the whole timeline and import to a "fresh" project, and that sometimes gets rid of the glitch, but it messes up my workflow and takes like 3x more time to edit than what it usually takes.

My PC is worth 3K so it should def not be an hardware issue neither.

Here is the crash report

"Process Image Date:  2022-03-16 (Wed Mar 16) 20:21:28" the date is very weird, this is a brand new project file created today but stil the date is almost 2 months old??? how is this possible?

@Zachary-Graser Hi, Can you go to your icon at the top, click it - My Profile, & fill in your Signature with your Vegas version, Windows version & system specs, CPU, GPU, RAM etc. this will then show at the bottom of the comments 👍

Also what type of media are you using, there's a tool called MediaInfo, download it, it's free https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
After downloading, right click on the media in your Windows folder, open MediaInfo, choose Text from the View option, select all, copy & paste in a comment here, thanks

Im considering reinstalling my windows, not sure if that would help?

Former user wrote on 5/6/2022, 12:41 PM

@Zachary-Graser Thanks for adding that info. now it's in your signature you won't be asked or need to answer that again,👍

Hi, from what i can tell you shouldn't have a prob with that type of file, you're adding Boris stuff which can be a bit intense on Vegas,

I wouldn't put the price of what you think your PC is worth on how it performs, yours may have cost you 3K but i could buy your PC, CPU, GPU, 32GB Ram, M.2 Hard drive, Motherboard, Power supply & a case for under 1.5k, I'm not comparing sizes but my Vegas crashes, discarding that yours is good enough, so provided all your drivers are up to date you may have to reinstall windows, I did on my machine, I lost a few functions like Search, i formatted my drive & using Windows feature i reinstalled it all again, Vegas still crashes but i never got the Unmanaged Exception (0xe0434352) msg so i don't know how to fix that, it might well be a Windows issue. A good purge & fresh start might be a good thing 👍👍

Yeah, but this is not just a typical crash or freeze, this literally glitches the whole timeline in a way i've never seen before in all my years using vegas. That is the issue. It CAN'T be a hardware related issue, i can assure that. Funnily enough i didnt even give you info on my motherboard, power suply, case, my 2Tb ssd etc so you cant even calculate that you could buy my pc for under 1.5k i dont know how you are coming up with that lol.

However, i've done all the usual stuff you could come up with, reinstalled everything numerous times, troubleshooted the issue and nothing works. Im not your tyipical 60 year old boomer who is using the pc for the first time, so no "try reinstalling your vegas" won't work on this issue.

I hope someone from the Vegas team can actually somehow help me out.

Zachary-Graser wrote on 5/6/2022, 1:06 PM

Try resetting you VEGAS Pro.

Doesn't work. The issue already occured with 18 and i installed a brand new version of 19 like 2 weeks ago and the same glitch appears.

Also i've used boris plugins for 6 years so it won't "overload" my pc, that might happen if you using a 2010 tier 100 dollar pc, not in this case no i can't emphazise it enough it isn't a hardware issue, nor is vegas glitching out because its somehow being overloaded with effects or something like that.

Only you alone can solve your problems. Confusions:

1, this sh*t indicates you have graka driver issue

2, this points out your 3000$ PC has only one HD, like Paris' canalization sharing with its tap water together

3, your 10 tracks cutting so arbitrarily, what's your goal?

4, your PC power supply insufficient?

5...

@Zachary-Graser Before you climbed on your high horse you should've read my comment more clearly, I may have been conservative with the price but i agreed with you it prob wasn't hardware, i was pointing out that even the most expensive PC's crash, & i never mentioned reinstalling Vegas, i actually agreed that with you about reinstalling Windows providing all your drivers are up to date ,

This kind of error messages I've seen in social groups is usually solved by updating the GPU driver, C++ runtime, DirectX runtime, .NET framework & Windows update.
