If you know your old login details, you should be able to still find your SCS serial numbers at

https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/myaccount/mysoftware

(See e.g. this thread. Note also that it's possible "SCS accounts without posts have not been migrated to MAGIX account".)

@vkmast Wow. Just logged into that link and found all of my old Vegas Video serial numbers listed there going back to #2 . All the downloads too except for #5. Ha, ha, not that I'd ever want to fire them up again.

Ha well I had only Vegas 9 listed and should have 13 back to ver. 6!

I dug thru my old mail messages and notes and. Did get 11 and 13 restored in my profile... I need to find studio 6 (got Emmy for footage edited in tjstvso that one s special and then bought full ver. 6)

Sonic Foundry's Vegas 2 was audio only, a rudimentary video option was added in a subsequent version.
FWIW, I requested audio side-chaining back then and am still being ignored. </end rant>

@rraud, version 1 was audio only. Video was added in Vegas 2.

Thanks @jetdv , the video capability may have been a secondary purchase then. I had the audio only Vegas 1 and 2, which was offered to some Sound Forge users. In any case, It was many moons ago.

@rraud, I purchased Vegas 2 right before Vegas 3 came out - mainly because it was really cheap and I could purchase that plus the upgrade to 3 for less than the cost of purchasing version 3 by itself! I think Best Buy was clearing off their shelves (and the closest Best Buy at the time was over 2 hours away!) My main usage of Vegas started with Vegas 3, though. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago!
