Because different mods pin posts there. There are so many new threads being created at the moment that key threads vanish down the list, and the lack of a search engine doesn't help. I agree that the spaced out nature of the forum (and the fact that section won't stay closed) makes it a pain to keep scrolling past those posts once you're done with them. We've been asked to keep it to 5 maximum, and 3 in the long run.

An "FAQ" tag has been requested (to sit alongside those AUDIO, PRODUCTION ASSISTANT, SCRIPTING, VIDEO tags). That could be applied to some of those type of posts instead of pinning them, although it's not as simple as just adding a 5th FAQ option, since most FAQ-tagged posts should have one of those other 4 tags as well. In the meantime we might make a pinned "FAQs and Important Posts" post as an index and stuff most of those pinned posts into it, along with a load of other stuff.

On the positive side, it's at least possible to use the forum on a mobile. I have done so myself on many occasions. That was effectively impossible on the SCS forum. And this post says to me that there are improvements on the way.

Please give us a way to link to open a user's profile from the Messages window. I have received messages from someone and I want to see their profile but can't find a way to do it. e.g. It should provide a link to their profile when you hover over their name and avatar.

Please give us a way to search for a user's profile by name or partial name. Also would be great to have a filter in the search for the users' status as regular user, moderator or MAGIX employee.

Change the categories in the "VEGAS PRO" section to be "VIDEO & GENERAL", "AUDIO", and "SCRIPTING", in that order, not alphabetical.

Also move "PRODUCTION ASSISTANT" to "ADD-ONS". Currently nearly every post in that category should not be there. I think people assume it is for general production assistance, not a specific add-on.

These changes would mean fewer posts need moving, which is a pain and leaves things messy.

Never mind, i see it in "ADD-ONS", a bit strange while it is a part of VEGAS PRO, i see add-ons more as plugins/small apps..must be me :)

I believe this has happened because those posts have been moved. But they should show the number of answers. I'll add it to the OP.

It's possible to use quote below any message but it quotes the entire message, not convenient.

This quote issue also problem on desktop version as well... the problem was caused due to 'position' of the web address... if you arrive into this comment from e-mail's 'Link to Comment' or click the right column on the topic list* - the quote cannot run (e.g. to your last comment: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/forum-feature-requests-bug-reports--103297/#ca642509 ) . But, if you navigate turnaround a bit by click the page number below, the click quote - finally run. A search function is the priority to minimise similar threads. I've read (post by Nick if i remember well)  that it should ready by this week,  but so far nothing.  Any clue when it will be ready?

Already possible althought not yet 'permanent' or probably just showing the new / unread comments only.

Also, now you can adjust number of posts to be shown for every page - but it is not yet a 'permanent' / 'personalized' settings as set by every member.

A good suggestion, Nick. You might even go further and put on the soundtrack of the LZ 2003 2-DVD. Besides versions of Whole Lotta Love, coincidentally it includes among others the somewhat aptly titled I Can't Quit You Baby, Communication Breakdown, Dazed and Confused, and Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. Didn't do too well on the German charts though.

I would like to see the "leaving community" redirect page disappear. It is silly and wasteful or my time in general and downright braindead when you are actually not leaving the forum but linking to another forum post.

Forget silly and wasteful - it's obstructive and basically sinister. It stops me actually following any of the links and leaving the forum altogether! What's the purpose so Magix can monitor where individual users go? Or is just a pathetic attempt to keep people in the forum longer? It is close to making the forum impractical to use. Magix should make it a top priority to get rid of it.
