The current offer (in the UK at least) for the 2-for-1 on Vegas 15 and 16 is valid until the 22nd (today)... I'm hoping that's some indication as the wait is killing me here 😂.
I know many of you won't touch Facebook, but those of you who do, check out the "Vegas Creative Software" Facebook page. Click the blue "f" icon at the very bottom right of this page.
Magix isn't giving out ANY info about the new features, except for posting banners "Brand new motion tracking", "I can't wait to check out all the new features in version 16", "Integrated Dynamic Storyboard Workflows", etc.
However, if you read the comments in those posts, about half are people complaining, but comments from Dustin Rudzinski (who appears to be a Beta Tester) offer some hints at what's to come (motion tracking not the Boris plug-in, it is native in Vegas, and "with HDR comes better coloring capability, so it'll help even non-HDR users").
A post from ******, who apparently is a software engineer at Magix (Berlin), says "Dustin Rudzinski gave a nice list of some high lights. I know some big new features not in the list... but coming to the channel and very soon to the VEGAS page." He also states in another post that tracking is "2D now... 3D is coming", and "all plugins are new and build from scretch" (sic).
That's cool to know. I was just watching a video showing the top 10 video effects in Adobe Premiere and the whole time I was thinking to myself Vegas can do all that and even more. But I still realize Premiere has some features Vegas doesn't, but it is sooooo nice to see that gap closing. And hopefully nice to see Vegas getting some of the respect it deserves. I also keep in the back of my mind that the most profitable movie in history was edited in Vegas Pro, and by profitable I mean return on investment. And that movie was Paranormal Activity. I see no reason why Vegas isn't recognized more for what it can do. And I'm super excited to have the ability to do more visual effects inside of it.
Net notify pop-up in vegas 14 took me (accidently?) to a VERY INTERESTING page... the devs have been busy! Looks fantastic to me. Lots of stuff I really need/want.
The vegas news pop-up on launch in vegas 15 has disappeared as of today (I had the 16 coming soon thingy popup the last few weeks), things are moving ...

To me that would rather be an indication that it will be delayed. Why remove an add for something that is about to be launched?
Looks "cooked" to me too. We weren't expecting big interface changes anyway so its not an issue. Like I said, I accidently got a preview of the Vegas 16 page and there are plenty of new features to get excited about. (IMHO).
