You are right, my fault here. One solution for the Ignite issue was posted by james ollik at 2:05 am and 3:07 pm today.

Hit film has a new version of ignite pro newer than magix's now log in to your account there to get it. :)

Magix has 2.2 Hit Film 3.0+ of ignite.

Being basically retired and just doing some stock footage, I really didn't need anything but 15 (which I thought was a great product). But I have Samplitude and believe that these folks make really good products. I am leaving at the end of the month for a vacation and thought I'd wait until I got back to buy. But I just want to show how much I appreciate what Magix is doing supporting the program, so I just bought 16. Keep up the good work guys, its greatly appreciated on my part. So I purchased the Edit version today as a sign that I really do support this program.

I am guessing that instead of installing Ignite Pro supplied with VP16, to download trial version from Hitfilm (and get latest version) and install that along with using the serial number that is supplied to activate?

For those waiting for an invitation to update from v15 to v16, it could be a while. I received the following from Magix U.S.:

The free upgrade won't happen instantly. We send out the installers and serial numbers in waves so it might be a week or so until you get your email for the Vegas Pro 16 software.

A little disappointing but not unexpected, I suppose. Probably just trying to keep servers and employees from being overwhelmed. I hope the "or so" doesn't turn out to be weeks.

Thanks. I just got it a few minutes ago, gotta go for a walk first, then i’ll check it out, really looking forward to all the new features. Thumbs up developers and all, a superb big addition of new features.

It is also worth noting that Vegas 16 is brand new, and is not yet a supported host for Ignite Pro.

Don't make excuses for ineptitude. This was months in the planning. People who paid first should have got links and serials first & it all should have been an automated process, not requiring people to manually send out emails with manually generated serials.

Yes, that is what I did and it worked, I tried a few effects and they worked without issue.

Did you install the new version 3 from the FxHome web site? https://fxhome.com/ignite-pro

After deleting the 2 folders in your C drive where the OFX file reside, try restarting VP16. If it fully loads, good, exit out of VP16, then install the Ignite Pro v3 file you downloaded. Make sure it is v3. Then restart VP16. That is what worked for me. Good luck.

FWIW, I got the upgrade email this morning. I went with the Suite and it seems to be a pretty good deal. It comes with the full Sapphire Lighting Unit and Pro Dad Vita. Those two programs alone are over 1,000 if you were to purchase individually. Haven't had a chance to look through it all, but it seems like a lot of additional effects.

This has been addressed and will be fixed in update 1.

I got my copy of VegasPro15 at 2017/08, still not having any email about the free upgrade, tried to find inside the trash bin and spam box still no luck.😰
