Windows 10, VP 17 has a box on the screen with no data for explorer. Screen print available but cannot load. Moving the box, reloading saved and default windows do not help. Box is still empty. Magix support no help whatever.
Thank you for responding. The upload worked but I had saved the screen print in .pdf which is not acceptable here. This jpg instead shows two instances open, one with explorer, one without.
Thank you for the suggestion. "Alt +1" is the menu shorthand for switching on the explorer window amongst the other window options. As you can see the explorer window is switched on, but it is empty. "Alt + 1" is therefore inappropriate.

Oh, that I didn't see, but now I do. Sorry, can't help.
We have never seen a problem of this sort before. My initial guess is that there is a problem with the .Net version installed on the machine. I have very little else I could provide at the moment. I would suggest opening a support ticket so that we can get logs and system information.
Many thanks to adis-a3097 who pointed to the truth: if I press alt+1 or use the menu to "show Explorer" then nothing appears to happen unless I close Vegas and re-open it when the explorer appears as if by Magi(x)c !! I like Howard-Vigorita's comment as I feel Vegas does have a mind of its own and it could well have hidden deliberately, but there is a technical answer too!
Fwiw, I was able to replicate the blank Explorer window by right-clicking, selecting View, then de-selcting all the check marks. Only way to recover from that was to first re-select "tree" then drag the left window border to bring the tree back into view.
@ian-b maybe it's just hiding around the corner... try pointing your cursor at the left border of the explorer window and dragging it to the right.
I'm having same problem, not sure was caused it, maybe clicking around too fast... Anyway, I agree with this step(video), I think that's the problem, however, explorer window does NOT light up/highlight, when mouse is hovering over window, like in the video. I can Undock it, Make it Bigger/Smaller but Cannot grab the side of the panel or corner to move it over... I'm stuck... I tried going back to default view/layout and still have a blank explorer window.
I have seen many comments on the problems using "explorer window" like crashing, not dragging files, slow, etc. This seems to be latest bug. Vegas Pro 17
