Yes

Sure did! Lowest price yet... but will 'Black Friday' be even lower???

karma17 wrote on 10/28/2017, 2:45 AM

Me neither.

vkmast wrote on 10/28/2017, 3:19 AM

If by "me neither" you mean you did not get the message, see if you got a new Net Notify pop-up for VP 15. If so, click "Learn more" and see the prices. OTOH, I'm inclined to think that Nick's "No" referred to Black Friday speculations?

liork wrote on 10/28/2017, 10:19 AM

Don't see any message, is upgrade price for Vegas Pro 200$ instead of 250$?

Regarding this 'special' sale price, can someone please list the specific effects that are included in the Boris Continuum 3D Objects package. I have searched but evidently I have not searched correctly. Also, I had read that some of the installed add-ons are not registered. I am probably confusing two different issues...sorry about that. Thanks.

What am I missing. This "special" looks like what they've been selling Vegas for since launch, ie 149 for edit /199 for pro?

animagic wrote on 10/28/2017, 3:43 PM

I have always been quoted $199 and $249 (the prices that come up when you close Vegas). I thought that was also the price at launch of Vegas 14.

Oops. Sorry for the ambiguity. In hindsight it's a reply to both. I didn't get a message but if it was only through "Newsfeed" (Net Notify) then I might have dismissed it without reading. I think $149/199/299 is the same as last Black Friday's prices (not sure about Suite). I'd be surprised if it goes lower than that, but don't quote me on it!

Kinvermark wrote on 10/28/2017, 10:29 PM

I got the $149 offer via Email. That is as cheap as I remember it ever being for Vegas 14 upgrade.

jyoungl6 wrote on 10/29/2017, 9:22 PM

I got the email and figured it was probably as cheap as the upgrade offers would get and went ahead and accepted the deal.

MemoriesFX wrote on 10/29/2017, 9:36 PM

Is it worthwhile upgrading? I have been holding off on this one

I did the same. In my case I also had to factor in the additional price of an upgrade to Vegasaur and possibly several other 3rd party products. I must say that, unlike many on this forum, I had an immediate positive reaction to the look of the new interface.

@MemoriesFX Upgrade from what previous version? Do a 30-day free trial and then you can see for yourself. That will take you to Black Friday and then you can jump on the $99 deal 🤑👍

(only joking liork 😉)

Well, it costed me much more... Upgraded to VP15 mainly for the NVENC rendering and found out I have to upgrade the graphics card as well...

A lemon is a lemon at any price. I won't spend a cent til I'm sure the thing actually works.... but you know what? I have this bad taste in my mouth from that last disgusting lemon, so I really struggle with the idea of ever continuing with vegas. Needless to say I'm considering other options, even rolling back until I decide on a platform I can stick with as long as I had previously stuck with Vegas.... and Acid. Feeling stoooopid now🤑

Re receiving these offers. I've seen some reports of exceptions though.

I have version 14. Good idea to download free trial

Flash sale... I bougt VP14 when Magix released it. As slow an as buggy as the previous version. I'm running on a AMD R) 280X GPU and wonder mainly how to get better performance on the timeline. Going to VP15 probably gives no improvement here, only for renders, and then mainly when running on nVidia high end GPUs?

Another thing that bugs me is that the "upgrade" price is the same - independent if I have Vegas from before - or not? Where is the loyal customer benefit?

The deal ends in couple of hours. Probably I skip V15 this time, looking at the known error list is not very convincing... Sad that the future of Vegas is resource limited when in Magix's hands. It seems that the development team is very very small...
