Issue with Preview Display on Secondary Monitor in Sony Vegas Pro 21

Hello everyone !

I recently purchased a new ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio [3440x1440]) and encountered an issue with Sony Vegas Pro 21. When I try to launch the preview on my secondary monitor, it only displays partially on my primary monitor, or spans across both monitors with improper scaling. I noticed that if in the Windows settings, the second monitor is positioned at the same height or below the primary screen, the preview displays on both screens. However, if the second monitor is placed above the primary screen, the preview displays entirely on the second monitor but is too zoomed in.

When the second monitor is positioned at the same height or below the primary screen :

When the second monitor is placed above the primary screen :

I've tried adjusting the preview settings within Sony Vegas Pro, ensuring the correct resolution is selected for the second monitor (1920x1080), and updating my graphics drivers, but the issue persists.

I hope this is clear enough to understand everything

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with dual-monitor setups and Sony Vegas Pro 21? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@Stylexe02 Where did you buy "Sony" Vegas Pro 21?

@J-Toresen Yes, ok now it's more "Sony" Vegas pro, I've just been used to calling it that for years and it's remained a habit for me now...

@Stylexe02

But: Where did you buy "Sony" Vegas Pro 21?

@Stylexe02 Please drop that habit.  The VEGAS Team advises that they want to avoid the appearance of misusing a brand that isn't theirs.

@J-Toresen I haven't buy, but I have the Vegas Pro monthly subscription (with Magix). And I did it on the site vegascreativesoftware.com, why this question ?

@vkmast Ok, sorry, I didn't know that. I'm going to try to get it into my head so I don't make the mistake again.

But otherwise, do you have any ideas to help me?

@Stylexe02 if any forum members aren't able to suggest solutions, please try VEGAS Support.

@Stylexe02 I think you need to enable "Use Alternate High DPI Settings" in Vegas display preferences to get a secondary high res monitor to preview correctly.

@Howard-Vigorita Thank you so much, it works !

This was my exact same issue with a new ultra wide 3440x1440 monitor and a 1680x1050 secondary monitor on the right. Thank you @Stylexe02 for explaining the issue so well with included screen shots. And thanks @Howard-Vigorita for the solution! Much appreciated!

Enabling "Use Alternate High DPI Settings" in Vegas display preferences also fixed the issue for me.
