I receive the error message that Vegas 19.0 is already installed and to uninstall it before upgrading. This is using the automated upgrade method. I've tried a few times.
Could you confirm if you do have the more recent build of the software or not? You should be able to find this information by going into the software and going to Help < About.
I have Vegas V 19.0 Build 381 installed. Every time I open Vegas, it asks me if I want to upgrade. When I say yes, the upgrade fails with the error message I gave earlier.

I just returned from Narnia and was starting to think it was only happening on my computer - glad I'm not the only one experiencing this weird error 😵 I have Build version 381 correctly installed. Every time you boot up VP19, it keeps saying there is a Major Program Update. It reports the update is for VEGAS Deep Learning Models, but lists the Features and Bug List for VP19 Build #381. Even stranger still, the file size looks like the full version of Vegas Pro 19, but it reports as VEGASModelsUpdate 1.0.0.72 after it finishes downloading.
Yep. I agree. It's starting to get more annoying. The answer from support so far is to uninstall and reinstall Vegas. I really do not want to do this because it looks like others have tried this and it did not work.
I am in the same boat. Says major upgrade... I download, and it fails. Now I know I have the latest version and to ignore this prompt by "install later." But as someone noted above.... will this interfere with future upgrades/patches? (For instance, the patch for this "upgrade")
I followed the advice from support and uninstalled Vegas and reinstalled it. The message has thankfully gone away. This seems a pretty brute force way to fix it, but it is now fixed. Thanks!

Your question has nothing to do with the problem being discussed in this thread. I recommend you start a NEW POST.
I finally found a way to remove this annoying Update Notification Error from Vegas Pro 19 #381. These are the steps I took: 1. De-register all installed versions of Vegas (made by Magix) inside of your Magix account. 2. Download and install the free version of Revo Uninstaller (AMD recommended this program to me). https://www.revouninstaller.com/ 3. Un-install all Vegas programs. 4. This is the most important step! After Revo un-installs Vegas, scan for all remaining Vegas program folders, Select All, then delete. There will be two types of folders that Revo will find for you. Repeat the process until all Vegas programs are removed. 5. I did an extra step and also ran CCleaner for good measure and then did a Custom Clean and Registry Clean. 6. Re-boot computer 7. Install Vegas Pro and activate license. Touch wood, this seems to have fixed the problem once and for all!
p.s. I noticed that when Revo searched for remaining folders, it looked like v18 and v19 files had got mixed up, in regards to Deep Learning models. I think this was part of the problem.
