@hanif-noormohamed what @j-v wrote... where is this going. If you want it as a general render,

Format: MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4, Template: Internet HD 1080p 29.97fps NVENC for fastest rendering.

What is the bitrate of your video? In Customize Template, I'd change the bitrate to match.

hanif-noormohamed wrote on 1/4/2022, 1:30 PM

Thank you for your quick response. How do I find out y bitrate? What should I change the bitrate to ? Please advie and I will change it in my customize template

Former user wrote on 1/4/2022, 1:51 PM

@hanif-noormohamed Hi, customize template is in the render option window

What should I change my settings to ?

No need to make changes, just use a rendertemplate which matches your project settings:

Or install Voukoder and Voukoder will do the rest:

.... above what @3POINT wrote.

As for finding out the bitrate of your video (and this is something that maybe should be included when you click on Properties of your video), is to download the free app, MediaInfo run it and drag your video on top of it. Look at Tree and you will see you bitrate, whether the video is constant or variable frame rate. Once you have it installed, it should also appear if you right mouse click on your video and be in the context menu.

When using Voukoder for render., there's no need to worry about bitrates.

Rendering to the same bitrate as the original recordings is in my opinion not necessary and not a good advice.

RogerS wrote on 1/4/2022, 11:50 PM

For bitrate, what is the purpose of the final file? How much detail and motion are in the originals?

The MagixAVC default bitrates are an okay place to start- maybe on the high side for HD 1080p.

For Voukoder's constant quantizer, 23 is the default. A number like 17 is high quality.

3POINT wrote on 1/5/2022, 12:09 AM

For playing on TV or upload to YouTube etc, Voukoder's default Constant Rate Factor setting of 23 is more than sufficient. Changing to 17 can cause problems when playing on TV due to unnecessary high bitrate peaks which are beyond TV's max.

RogerS wrote on 1/5/2022, 12:44 AM

Good point, it really depends what is the purpose of the final file. To present using a computer? Directly to a TV? To upload (and to where?)

3POINT wrote on 1/5/2022, 1:11 AM

For a final render, which means no further editing, so for TV upload etc, the Vegas H264/H265 or Voukoder X264/X265 rendertemplates are more than sufficient and DON'T need further tuning. Especially when being a novice like this threadstarter.

Guys, thank you so much for your suggestions and comments. I have tried almost all the render settings that I could find from all the sources, but still the system freezes once I get around 50% rendered. This is very frustrating, because I have used Vegas Pro since 2007 and I have never ran into this type of situation. I even tried to install Vegas Pro from scratch, and still the problem stays the same. Even when I try to render my older projects from a couple of months, even they freeze while rendering. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at a complete halt with my video rendering process. Thank you

Reïnstalling does not change any setting from before.
Better is to reset the program as it was after a fresh installation.

Do this following exactly this : http://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

Thank you for providing the link to reset to factory settings. I tried the steps in the link, and reset it to factory settings, but the problem still remains. My system freezes during rendering about 40 - 50 %. Any other tips might helpful. Thank you.

@hanif-noormohamed Hi, so far you've given little information, you need to read this link & share as much as possible,

j-v wrote on 1/7/2022, 11:51 AM

@hanif-noormohamed
The problem of your Opening Post was not to know how to render.
And now without telling how you render you tell us the problem is freezing after 40-50%.

Thatswhy 3 questions:
- What is the MediaInfo of your sources?
- Which rendertemplate do you use?
- To which file are you rendering and what is there the total amount of space?

Thank you for your quick response. I have been using the youtube internet template for the past one year, and setting the preferences by default, and all of my 6 music videos were rendering fine. It just happend a few days back when I tried to create a new music video with the same camera setting of 30 fps, and I use stock video clips and those are also at 30 fps. Initially it was freezing around 40 - 50 % rendering, but now the system crashes at 20% rendering. Very strange. It is not my hardware because all my other Audio production applications lile Pro Tools 11 works fine.

I tried a work around to create the same music video in Vegas Pro 15 one of my older software, with the same redering settings and it works fine. I don;t know what went wrong in Vegas Pro 18. I have wasted 6 days troubleshooting this issue. It's very frustrating. I will provide the detail settings on the Magix Support site and see if they can figure it out and help me.

Thanks for your help.

@hanif-noormohamed 10 lines of text & still no useful info, i hope you get it sorted out but you'll need to give Magix Support more info than you've shared on here,
