@vkmast My 😂's were more about the irony of having now having the latest version, that he was having more trouble than with the old version,

just out of interest can i ask your nationality @vkmast & @Boannski?

Yes LOL the irony indeed, well my good sir, I am Puerto Rican and Nicaraguan, born in San Francisco, I make music, film, and hope to get famous for loving and uplifting people through my words of encouragement in my songs. At the end of the day, I'm All things to All people!!! You may see my brand ATTAP flying around in the never ending ethos if the internet lol.

@Boannski thanks for joining as a legitimate user. (The Vegas employees need to be paid) Btw, I wondered about funny emojis in the comment that I quoted from.

That was the beginning of it all, I was talking about my broke younger years and what I was doing to get by, and now that Im in a better (since 2010) it felt good that day I decided to do what is right.

@Former user you can even though it's not required info on this forum. Work it out from here. (The last sentence there is outdated. And Cornico is something else, literally, but still excellent.)

@vkmast Ok thanks, i've travelled a lot around Europe, been to every country several times & every country has a different sense of humour, irony etc.., not been to Scandinavia tho,

I'm English, when i read the comments here i can tell which are not English, written conversations can be misread at the best of times & adding different people who's English isn't their first language can make it more difficult to read a sentence/comment correctly in the way it was meant, yes i agree they/you - 'they're doing an excellent job helping in the forum's English section', but reading @Boannski comments felt like it was Very good English, natural or at least it was now his native language, so i'm sorry if the 😂's offended or confused but the conversation felt more relaxed & everything shouldn't be taken quite so literally. 👍

@Former user my friend, I totally get it...I guess my duty as an artist requires some type of linguistic cadence to threads... everything can be easily misread, especially the mindset of the reader lol. Well allow me to say "Cheers'' my fellow European! Really appreciate everyone's input and respect.

@Boannski Ok. filming in 8k automatically changes the phone settings to HEVC for file space savings, Google AVC vs HEVC 👍, so you have a mix of AVC & HEVC on the timeline & Vegas specs recommend 32GB for 4k never mind 8K, also different frame rates.

this is a short clip i just did with 8K (HDR10 turned Off on the phone) but it still creates HEVC

@Former user One thing that jumps out at me about that 8k hevc media info is that it's 24 fps vfr that varies between 20 and 30 fps. Vegas is known to have trouble with vfr which varies very much. Might be easier for Vegas to handle if it's converted to constant frame rate first using something like Handbrake, HOS, Vdub2 or, ffmpeg.

@Howard-Vigorita I read that quite a lot, & i'm sure you're right, a constant frame rate would surely be easier for Vegas to deal with, but this is one of my phone 4k AVC vids, they're all variable that come from the phone & i don't see the difference on my pc between variable & constant, the frame rate does change quite a lot in that 8k MediaInfo compared to the 4k but there has to be more to it than that, surely any change in frame rate is 'a change' in frame rate.
