Apologies, as this might be off-topic but the Japanese menus on Vegas changed to English after updating. Is there a way to go back to Japanese? Thanks.

I downloaded the patch but it still says I have build 105. Is there a way to download the patch within Movie Studio 14?

For Movie Studio 14, please look at this tab topic: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-movie-studio-forum/

Currently for the VMS, it is still build 105, but hopefully in the next week or two, the new build is available.

We really should be more careful and make the distinction between the basic MVMS 14 and the Platinum MVMSP 14. Nick's comment here is helpful in this respect.

Updated to build 252 for V14. New Blue Title Pro now crashing (bundled version). Installed "NewBlueVegasProComplete-161118" as linked in this thread. Same result.

No external GPU; using Intel Core i7 onboard video

Help?

I had NB Titler Pro 4 Ultimate 161118 working on my system - AMD FX8150 Win10Pro x64 with R9 390 GPU & Radeon 17.4.3 drivers.

Was happily working on a project yesterday which had a lot of Titler Pro events in it - it was slow to load in Vegas Pro 14 252, but once loaded was working. Upon turning on my system this morning & attempting to continue my work, NB Titler Pro will not launch - it seems to crash or get terminated on initialization & I have not been able to figure out why or what changed. Have attempted uninstall/reinstall & ensured removal of the OFXBridgeB64.dll file but still no luck.

If anyone has any helpful suggestions, please share.

Update: Somehow, upon performing a another uninstall/reinstall/delete OFXBridgeB64.dll & then a system reboot, it started working again. Unfortunately, still no idea what happened in the first place to cause the application to fail to launch - whether through VegasPro or the StandAlone.

Have just updated to build 252, and have found the NewBlue Titler has stopped working (Its the version of the titler supplied with the original vegas 14 installer). I see others have posted about this. What steps do I need to take to get it going again ? Has anybody managed to fix the problem by. perhaps, re-installing etc?

Perhaps we have to wait for the next update and hope this is fixed. is that the case MathiasH ?

@LinuxFan I would open up a ticket with NewBlue directly. They helped me out.

Has anyone else seen a memory leak issue when rendering to XAVC-S Long?
On my current project, I've been attempting to render out to XAVC-S Long but have gotten hung up by the render crashing within a few minutes. Watching system memory utilization shows that it gets pegged to 98% while Vegas memory footprint gets reduced from around 2.5GB to a few hundred MB's. Looks like the OS (Win1064) tries to deal with the memory leak by starving VEGAS of RAM until Vegas can no longer function & causes the program to crash/end.

How do you guys find updates for this software? When SONY owned Vegas there was a "Check for Updates" section in "Help" menu. I'm getting very frustrated as I cannot find anywhere on MAGIX's site, or within the Vegas pro suite package, a place for updates.

The software doesn't notify me about updates and I have just discovered this post. Is googling through forums the only way to get updates for this program?

Are there any plans for newer nvidia cards support by Vegas? I am running with gtx 1070 (driver v378.92) on a $4k pc and rendering/playback is really bad. I managed to avoid crashes by setting ''dynamic RAM preview'' to 0 (and i have 64gb ddr4 :/) but gfx is really struggling even with simple 1080 mp4 files playback without any effects applied.

Planning on GrapCards? Two answers:

1 - Those who say they know, but don't.

2 - Those that may or could know, which in my 15 years experience with the VV team, is also no.

I have many hangs with vegas 14 v252.... maybe it's about gpu acceleration..... I've contacted magix support and the wrote me:

"Please note that GeForce 337.88 or Quadro/Tesla 341.05 (an R340 driver) or older is required for GPU-acceleration. These drivers can be found at: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx"

Really?, do I need to install a very OLD driver for GPU to work properly????

kinetik wrote on 5/22/2017, 11:10 AM

i got this email too...that version is not even on nvidia list as its too old. i have been also told that they are working on newer gpu support, but they dont know when it will be ready.

My findings were that those drivers will not install under Windows 10 and.....

Windows 10 update installs most Nvidia drivers with the newest driverversion number (sometimes a number xxx,x1 lower), but those drivers will not be recognised by Vegas software.
Downloading the same driverversion from NVidia clears that problem.

Was on build 211, jumped to 252 and snap to grid isn't working so now going to try build 244. Also, When are Magix going to fix the icons?

Snap to grid is working fine for me in build 252.

Build 244 is working, no idea why 252 doesn't.

Sheesh......this response isn't an answer to your issue, but rather an action of sad disbelief regarding your assumed specs of your computer and the performance with this app. I too currently have a very, more than capable beastly computer, on paper at least and I too can relate to the horrible timeline playback of 4k footage. The reason I built this computer is to devour high resolution data and I'm not experiencing this.

To Magix I believe some streamlining with the code is in order and while I'm at it, some more "professional" features should be realized. Features like better color grading tools (not color correction), native LUT support, automatic mask tracking, teammate networking functions like a cooperative timeline where multiple users can work simultaneously on a project and a revamped audio section. The audio capabilities are still better than all NLE's, but is now starting to see its age. I believe inspiration for this audio component modification should come from a company like Presonus, with their formidable Studio One v3.

I also believe Magix should make a new titler and not rely on NewBlue, or any other third party, to develop plug ins that should come full featured and native to the app.

"I also believe Magix.... " yup, a definition of a belief structure.
