@Cmin7669 there has been much discussion in the past on how installing newer Boris Units gotten with upgrade Vegas Pro, effectively uninstalls older units. But that's not the fault of VEGAS, but Boris FX. It has been discussed in the BorisFX User Forum. That's just the way Boris does business and again, no fault of VEGAS. Older BorisFX units/plugins are removed when installing a newer version of BorisFX.
As for the 3 months... in the past, that was not the case. It should also be noted in the webpage if this is really the the length of activation of Primatte Studio.
I have just conducted a test, Boris Primate vs Vegas Effects, the end result is minimal difference. If this is only a three month license then I shall remove it and reinstall my copy of Boris Title studio, I would use this much more than I would use Boris keying.
vkmast, it would be nice to hear their reasoning on this one. I think they might have just P#ssed off quite a few customers. In my experience, loyalty only stretches so far. :)
@Cmin7669 these issues usually do get sorted out, believe it or not. But I also think Title Studio would be worth more than Primatte for you (and some others).

Comments from time to time on the forum over the years have been complimentary for both Boris Primatte and HitFilm Pro's chroma-keyer (which is very likely what's in Vegas Effects since it is a basic version of HitFim Pro), so the results of your test are not surprising and provides affirmation re that performance in the current day.
Is there any way of seeing a thumbnail of the veg project file as a visual reminder of what the project is about?
Lol. I'm curious, what sort of projects (or quantities of projects) are you creating that you can completely lose track of what they're about? Isn't that what the filename is for?
Yes, I did, but have just uninstalled Primate, and reinstalled Title Studio, but now Neither VP19 or VP18 will work, reinstalling them again now. Still not working both crash in seconds. Nice!
I upgraded from VP18 Pro to VP19 Edit on 2 computers. Computer 1: i5 11600K 3.9GHx 32Gb DDR4 Intel Graphics 750 (no graphics card) Windows10 19043 21H1 I noticed that Smart Zoom and Smart Upscale have been removed from the fx list and replaced by Vegas Upscale. Scaling is greyed out . Zoom works on "smooth" but not on sharp. So I checked on computer 2. Computer 2: i9 10900K 3.7Ghz, 32 Gb DDR4, Nvidea RTX 2080Super Studio driver 471.68 (10th Aug 21) Windows10 19043 21H1 There is no Vegas Upscale fx. I notice it's description (on computer 1) is "Vegas A1 Upscaler" So is this fx part of the Deep Learning module (for colorisation etc). If so, why is the Deep learning module bundled with Vegas Edit? Can I re-install without it? Also, why does it "half" appear on one computer and not the other? Is it only meant for Pro 19 and not Edit?
Mine says it never expires for primatte but for some reason it won't work after I've activated it. A red X is across all my footage when I use any of the FX.
"Not all Continuum plugins are licensed on this machine"
If you installed all the plugins, you will get the red X on the unregistered ones. If you registered Primatte, you should be good with only that one.
There should have been a link to download Primatte in your email. Is the link you posted the one provided? Is the license for 2021.5 or is it an earlier version.
@xberk does it work? 1970 was the year I graduated from high school... didn't know Borisfx was around then!

The only ones that program installed was a lot of ones beginning with BCC and none of them work. All red X.
The link in the email from them is useless, just takes me to a page where I have to choose which one is correct. The vegas install only showed me a PDF with a link to the same page they gave me.
If vegas gave me a direct link to what I need that would have been very helpful.\
The license from them only says "Continuum Premium Filter: Primatte Studio"
@Teagan installing the entire Continuum package, you will have plenty of "red X" on effects you try. You did not pay for them. Did you follow in the installation instructions? You have an option to install all or only the registered one.

I had no such option to only install the ones I own. It installs all without asking me. I then enter my key and then it asks if I want to remove the ones I don't have access to with this key. I say to remove them. Now I have about half of them as before and none work except "BCC primate studio". All the other BCC ones don't do anything when I try to use them.
By not working I mean I try to add them to a clip and it doesn't even pop up on the link list with "pan/crop".
This is extremely frustrating as I have no idea what I'm doing.
Oh yes, the instructions are in the installing, you didn't (as most of us have done), pay attention, and just clicked "ok".
You are not doing anything wrong if Primatte is working. That is all you paid for. None of the other plugins are included with Primatte Studio. ONLY Primatte Studio.
Primatte Studio is a subset filter in the BorisFX Continuum Complete. It is a filter in the BCC Key and Blend. You are not going to get anything additional. Just Primatte Studio.
Here you can see what Primatte Studio is all about.... and notice, that is all it is....
