@xberk does it work? 1970 was the year I graduated from high school... didn't know Borisfx was around then!
I just tried it. It ran, but checking under "license" it still showed expiring 11/21/2021. I did the activation again and after entering the serial number and restarting Vegas the license now reads "permanent" ... Yipppeeee ...
Oh yes, the instructions are in the installing, you didn't (as most of us have done), pay attention, and just clicked "ok".
You are not doing anything wrong if Primatte is working. That is all you paid for. None of the other plugins are included with Primatte Studio. ONLY Primatte Studio.
Primatte Studio is a subset filter in the BorisFX Continuum Complete. It is a filter in the BCC Key and Blend. You are not going to get anything additional. Just Primatte Studio.
Here you can see what Primatte Studio is all about.... and notice, that is all it is....
Thanks. That was a good explanation that I didn't see before.

Just looked through the installer again. There's no way to choose what to install. It's all or nothing. I just have to choose to "Remove all unlicensed plugins" that I don't have a license for, after installing and putting in my key. Even then there's a lot of junk FX options starting with BCC that I can't use and can't remove in vp19.
I'd like help to remove all of those that I can't use.
I can fully understand you not wanting what you can't use. Usually, ticking removing unlicensed plugins have always worked in the past.
I would say uninstall Boris completely, but then I've had issues with reinstalling saying it was activated too many times, even if it's on the same computer.
Go to the BorisFX User Forum and ask there. They might be able to help you better and give you specific instructions on how to remove all the "bloat" that neither you, nor anyone else would want.

Deleting the files “plugin_manager_cache.bin” and “svfx_plugin_cache.bin” in C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\<version number> and restarting vegas pro fixed the issue with the glitched plugins.
Installing Boris FX can be confusing sometimes. If you need to reinstall you don't need to re-enter the activation key again. Unless you deactivated it.
OK, it's the next day, but last night I decided to uninstall Boris Primate and reinstall Boris Title studio as I would be most likely to use Title Studio much more plus in addition I have Vegas Post which already has a very good chroma- keyer as a function.
When I uninstalled Primate my copy of VP19 stopped working as did VP18 and Vegas Post.
This morning I reinstalled Vegas Post and all of the applications that come with it. then reinstalled Title Studio, then Boris Primate. Much to my surprise they are both working, and after reinserting the serial for Primate studio the expiry date has disappeared and now shows permanent. I have tested both and there are no problems so far.
I also have a addon that came with VP16 from Boris, called lights and blend. This has some good effects and I am tempted to try and install that as well, but don't want to upset the applecart and create another mess.
One of the main reasons I upgraded was the "dynamic ram fix"
I just had to adjust dynamic ram "ie set to 0" for my current project to finish rendering. It was stopping at 17% before hand. No diffrence from vegas 18. The dynamic ram issue is still present in v19. 😡
Are the subscription-based products still limited to a single-computer license? I would like to buy the 365 product but I need to be able to run it on both a desktop and a laptop.

Could you start your own thread on this and include details? That's the first report of it still being an issue.
When I added Vegas Pro 365 to my cart, the clickable "product features" sub-page reveals just one installation—so it's still a single license. I would have to purchase two licenses:
1. Vegas Pro 365 for $19.99/month. 2. Vegas Post (perpetual) for $299 (upgrade).
Or:
1. Vegas Post 365 for $29.99/month. 2. Vegas Edit (perpetual) for $119 (upgrade).
Note that I am currently subscribed to BorisFX Continuum, but will let that lapse after this purchase and later buy the FXhome Hitfilm Pro + Ignite Pro bundle when offered at discount (e.g., Black Friday), mainly for Ignite Pro. However, if I choose to go that route, I suppose the more sensible path to two licenses (one of which includes 365-exclusive features) is:
1. Vegas Pro 365 for $19.99/month. 2. Vegas Edit (perpetual) for $119 (upgrade).
I'm excited for the new features announced in Vegas 19 and 365 products, but it's unfortunate that Magix doesn't offer a more economical path to 365 users who require installation on two computers. I understand the bifurcation of the 365-exclusive features is for technical reasons, but from a customer point of view, it still seems an inordinately severe pricing model.
Try Ctrl+Shift+M (to turn Event Headers on) if you cannot discern the relevant (very small) triangles at the bottom and top of the track. The same KB shortcut turns them off.
Unfortunately I need to tell you that such instructions are not available from MAGIX/VEGAS. The updated English version for VP 19 is not available yet either.

What is the general opinion of the more wise?
I had the BorisFX Lights Unit (version 2020.5) and had to upgrade it to v2021.5 in order to work along with Primatte Studio. Unfortunately, that then uninstalled my Title Studio 2020.5 version, so that's next on my upgrade list. This happens because you can only have one version of Boris Continuum installed at a time, which includes the individual Continuum Units.
OK, Longtime Vegas Movie Studio Premium user...17(204) right now.
I purchased that special offer (Vegas Pro 18 + 19). I've installed and briefly used Vegas Pro 18, still falling back to VMS17 for production.
Please bear with me. Apologies if I missed the answers above! I recently received a download link and key for "Vegas Edit" which I was told via another topic includes Vegas Pro.
The two seem to get along. So,
1. What will vegasedit19_dlm_t75zhr.exe offer me? Options for "Edit", "Pro", "Post"?
2. Will any/all of the above threesome co-reside with VMS17, Vegas Pro 18?
I think I'm willing uninstall Pro 18 to jump into Pro 19 and can always back down to the known-stable Pro 18.
@robbif2 Hi Fred, you are obviously still confused. Firstly you have VMS Platinum, not Premium.
Vegas Edit is Vegas Pro 19. The next expensive Pro offering contains the same Vegas Pro 19 plus extras. The most expensive Post version contains Vegas Pro 19 plus even more extras.
@EricLNZ Thanks for the clarification, very helpful. I sure mistyped "Premium", very aware it's "Platinum"...having trouble proof-reading. The Pro infomation was a big help. Could've done without "obviously still confused", tho.
Can't even get past 1st base with the full release of v19. I mark a region and select render as and 'bang' v 19 hangs with its stopped working dialogue box.

@robbif2 Magix have been confusing a lot of us lately!
Personally I consider it would help if the confusing "Edit" offering was called something else. Maybe "Vegas Pro". The Vegas Pro offering could then be called "Vegas Pro Plus". And the Post called "Vegas Pro Post".
So you would have: Vegas Pro Vegas Pro Plus Vegas Pro Post
