Vegas is bit unstable. You don't need to do anything special until it crashes. It is bit frustrating use CTRL+S save tactic learned from days of Microsoft Word 95. Switching between apps crash and opening vegas hub crash should be fixed at least. Other applications on my computer does not crash. I keep posting crash reports.
Hi. Thanks for comment. However product stability at moment is not on acceptable level and I know that complaining it here does not take it further but...
I was supposed to do quick video yesterday for work related purposes. This time i added simple title, red circle animation to top of one clip, adjusted few colors and used some stock clip from Vegas Hub. Several application crashes, hangs, stopped renderings. When switching back to Vegas (alt + tab) .. crash.
Lenght of final video was 5:00.
These kind of problems are productivity killers. Four less than one hour editing job this is way too bad!

I am fully aware of that - but it needs precise information to have a chance of finding a fault. The interaction of different hardware and software and user settings has simply become too complex to be able to test everything in advance - even if the greatest efforts were made in the beta phase.
We are working on an emergency update which should solve following start-up problems that were introduced in build 361:
A crash during "Create Windows" step of the start-up process
Excessive wait time during the "Create Windows" step of the start-up process
Excessive memory usage
We will begin testing this emergency update very soon. We do not have an estimated time for delivery at this point, but we do want to get it out as soon as possible. We want to make sure no other major issues are uncovered before the release. In the mean time, if you are experiencing problems, we suggest reverting back to build 341.
Maybe this should be posted in the News section of the forum? I've been a way for a week or so and the first I heard was an indirect reference in another thread. Just a suggestion. I actually used V19 for the first time (B361) yesterday and it worked fine for the little edit I tried.
I wasn't sure if I should post anything here, but anyway. My Vegas Pro 19 also crashes without me doing anything and it freezes. Just wait for the next build. Understand that the developers are always making improvements to the system, however on my Machine it is a disaster all those crashes. (Ryzen 5900X, RTX 3080, 64GB). Vegas Pro 18 ran as it should without crashes
can I please please have the old style icons back? Why do you always have to change stuff like that in the first place, just to make it hipper or more modern? They're all less readable and distinguishable now. Oh, and the GUI grey values changed too. There is no middle grey anymore. it's either very light or very dark, and all text seems to be somewhat smaller.Left is V19 with the same grey value as v17 on the right.

I'm having an issue where periodically any custom icons/shortcuts (e.g. vegasuar) disappear from view in the toolbar. They are still there in the top toolbar but invisible. From an earlier thread, I saw that using Tools/scripting/rescan script menu folder was a suggested workaround but this is not working. Has anyone seen this issue?
Vegas 19 - Bought Specifically for new Project Note features. EVERY single time I click on "Add Note" Vegas 19 Crashes. System was perfectly tweaked for ZERO crashes in Vegas 17. Make sure same optional preferences were selected in Vegas 19. Please help direct to solution. Or who do I CALL or CONTACT to reverse purchase charges? (Vegas support returns item give no return link)
Please release it on MacOS with Apple Silicon platform
That's a tall order, VEGAS relies on many Windows features to work, it would require a full from-the-ground-up rewrite of the code, which would take years for a team of this size to do.
Other than the hardware prores decoding, the Apple Silicon systems don't really offer much over cheaper PC laptops.
It would be wrong of me to say never, but at the moment there are no plans to create a MacOS version of VEGAS Pro. The VEGAS code base is extremely tied to Windows and the effort to do a Mac port would be enormous. As Steve did mention, a port of Sound Forge was done, but this was a complete rewrite of the software from the ground up and to this date is not a full featured as the Windows counterpart. VEGAS is considerably more complex.
The previous owner of VEGAS had considered how to deal with providing a Mac version of VEGAS as well. The result was an entirely new video editing program. Others can debate in regards to how successful that effort was.
It is now November and my version of Vegas will not launch, after working for a week and I have no idea how to fix it or get anyone in support to respond. This is terrible.
@Monica-Eng posting the same complaint in several threads does not help. Advice to contact VEGAS Support is here.and the link was given in an earlier reply to you.
