@fr0sty, I know how to do that, but what about people coming to Vegas for the first time and seeing AIA and wanting to know "how"? There are no video tutorials on how to do this.

+1 for that! Easy replacement of timeline clips with others (and yes, being able to slip the clips) is something I think is necessary. Watch this video from 6 years ago about the Replace mode editing in Pinnacle Studio. Easy. It starts at the 3 minute mark. And yes, you can adjust the clip on the timeline (slip/slide) once it's on the timeline.

the replace function, trimmer tool, and slip edit tool are already in place, the infrastructure to add the feature is there, they all just need to be combined into one easy to use operation.

Yep... that's what I've been saying. There is a feature that newer people will have to spend a lot of time finding "how" and then doing it.

I have used the speech to text and then text to speech feature quite a bit over the past month. Very impressive. But the process is tedious. Once I record my voice on Vegas timeline, the have it analyzed by AI, a transcript is generated. There is no way to save this transcript file directly except as a subtitle file. Neither is there a way to use the transcript to generate speech immediately.

So I have saved the transcript as a subtitle file and bring it back to generate speech. However, there is timecode, which I have to remove line by line and save the SRT(subtitle) file and then use that to generate Speech.

Is there a more streamlined time saving workflow? Thanks

Besides saving as SRT, you can have a choice to save as TXT and this format removes the Timecode.

I spent some playing around and these are some really cool tools. The speech to text is huge especially with the text-based editing. I often have 2+ hours of GoPro footage to sort though and being able to run speech recognition so I can seek to it in the timeline helps identify key events in my videos. A couple notes:

• If you interrupt processing speech to text there is no way to know if it was incomplete, or how far it processed.
• Background processing would help on longer clips as it does take some time.
• Being able to run speech to text at the track level, or even project (multi-track) level would be useful. You could even display the track title in the captions to identify who is speaking.

I dont understand why it is not possible to simply copy text directly from the display box. Unusual for any program involving text to not allow it to be copied and pasted elswhere.

Try click stop button, then go to the Settings and Open Logfile.

Hi,

Whenever I try to get AIA to run in VP22 I get an error message (See attached image). I have a good internet connection, the same message pops up every time I open VP22. Any help on fixing this issue will be appreciated.

Hi Blaque, can you please try to logout and log in again. If this doesn't help, try deleting your WebView2 cache folder in ...\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0\ before you start VEGAS Pro.

Thanks for the reply. Which cache folder should I be deleting exactly there are several? Please see the attached screenshot. Thanks in advance for any fixes on this

@Blaque are you sure you are in the right folder location? You have to start with the hidden folder AppDate. Make sure in Folder Options>View, that Show hidden files, folder,s and drives is ticked. Then go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0, and there you will find the WebView2 folder.

What I suggest is that in your User Profile, that you complete your Signature like mine (and others) to include your complete computer hardware specifications. Your user profile is blank.
