and you didn't think coming out with an up to date help or manual at the same time would be useful? Incredible.
Indeed it would be incredible if we actually thought such a stupid thing.
Obviously we didn't want it to be this way, but we were faced with a tough choice: Either hold VP19 until we could replace the tech doc resource we lost at pretty much the most inopportune time or release without updated help. Faced with two bad options, we chose the one we thought was the better both for you guys and the health of VEGAS Pro. As much as we wish we could, we can't control all the variables, and sometimes unfortunate things happen. We're trying to deal with this as best we can.
Meanwhile, I can't say enough about the wonderful people here and on YouTube who are working overtime to help everyone understand the new features. Thank you all!
I was wondering if anyone knows, I purchased Vegas 19 Post on 8/21 and now I find that two weeks later they are offering the same upgrade, same price but with Titler Studio from Boris? Did I miss something or just get hoodwinked by buying it 10 days too early. Kinda don't like it. Been a user since Vegas 6
Interesting. I would also like to know more about this. Seems to be bundled with Vegas Pro as well - both subscription and new purchases/upgrades. Don't know about earlier bought perpetual licenses, but I assume it's included in all active subscriptions?
Just noticed that the stabilisation fx doesn't function when rendering. It is ok on preview ! (working on a film 24 fps).
That would be something that I, myself, would always pre-render, if for no other reason than to insure the results were what I'm seeking. That's not to suggest that this feature is working properly.

Gary, thank you for your gentlemanly response, and you're a thousand percent correct on those two points. It is pretty obvious that the beta team (in some form or fashion) included Youtube boosters who really "hit the ground running" on DAY ONE with the feature explanations; they were well prepared and have been doing fantastic work. This move was remarkably smooth because of some quick thinking on your/somebody's part to engage these young swifties. Their game has also stepped up a couple of notches, I've noticed. Do I miss a manual, yes, but given the choice, I'm with you G man: Let's ROLL.
I am wondering what the purpose or thinking was behind VEGAS IMAGE? There are many mature and sophisticated image editing programs out there. Why put engineering/programming effort for that 'utility' type program, when it would have been easier just to integrate/link existing Magic software (Xara DesignerPro for example) much like Sound Forge is integrated into Vegas Pro? I watched a YouTube video for Vegas Image and it seems like Image is a LUT building tool. Can someone educate me on this? Thanks. Bart
Barton-Santello, Vegas Image is not a LUT building tool it is an Image editor just like photoshop, although PS has a bit more features etc. And your analysis of how engineering effort should have been best focused somewhere else, nah, that's not how it works!
Vegas Image has a trial version which you can easily download and try out for yourself to see what else it offers.
Image was created by FXHome and existed before it was repurposed into VEGAS Image. It is an image editor that can do raw processing of stills and also prep photos for use in video. It's more of a Photoshop lite than a utility program.
Am still loving v19 - very stable for me from editing to rendering - I've turned off live-save for the first time in years and I'm already using the stock footage option. Just a couple of UI glitches to report:
The new positioning of the crop and fx selectors at the bottom of a clip makes them really hard to select when you've added a velocity envelope - the line of the envelope blocks the tool selectors.
And I like the new design and colour scheme, but have a hard time seeing where one clip ends and the next starts when they're next to each other on the timeline - need thicker lines around the clips maybe, or a darker colour border.
The new positioning of the crop and fx selectors at the bottom of a clip makes them really hard to select when you've added a velocity envelope
If you go to View and check 'Event Headers' (or use Ctrl+Shift+M), the pan/crop, fx and any other icons selected to show will be placed on the top of the event as occurred in VP18 and earlier.

SeMW Preview Levels drop down in the Video Preview tab crashes my VP19 instantly. I know it's actually not necessary since VP18, but wanted to put this out there to see if it's my system or a general bug.
Does anyone else face the problem that you can`t sign in to your Vegas Hub? Trying to manually do it in the meny doesn`t do anything and when i try text to speak a note appears that says "Unexpected network communication error. Please ensure you are on-line"... Tried reinstalling, flushing dns, trying to connect through VPN,compatibillity mode etc but nothing. Subscription based btw and i can`t use the features i am paying for with this bug. Also when the program starts i get 2 tabs with Vegas Hub Login and for a few seconds the logout option that disappears. Thanks in advance all :)
Vegas will have VST3 support implemented very soon. Yeah its long over due, but it will be here!
OK, @Steve_Rhoden https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/users/profile/Steve_Rhoden/ , this is great to read! From where did you actually get the info that vst3 will be coming very soon? I can't wait. If it is there, I will upgrade my Vegas Pro 18. Until that time I will probably refrain and might wait longer...
I wish VP 19's icons were more legible. I have a 4k monitor and they are so tiny I have to get my nose on the screen to see them. The icon in Crop/Pan that restricts the movement to vertical, horizonal or free movement is especially hard to discern. It was easy to see in VP18 with the same monitor, even with my feet up on the desk. I know if I hover some text appears which will tell me what it is set at, but who the heck want to hover?
And while I am here, It would be nice to have a zoom slider under the preview panel. And it would be really nice if there was an icon (big enough to see) where you could toggle between having the color measurements using the whole image or just the zoomed in portion. That would allow you to quickly zoom in on, say, the skin and see if it fall on on the skin tone line, without having to go through the Pan/Crop work around.

There is a whole thread on the V19 icons and many requests to change back to V18 which as you say are much clearer and for me the best so far.
Although Vegas does not support VST3 as yet, i however found a work-around for that for a while now and have several of my VST3 Audio plugins working quite smoothly and stable inside Vegas Pro. For example, the latest versions of Melodyne and Auto-tune runs flawlessly within Vegas Pro or any vst3 plugs i throw at it.

Care to share your workarounds? I can't get my VP18 to see Izotope Nectar, whereas it does see other Izotope VSTs (yes, the DLL and VST files are all in the VST folder)
EDIT: For some reason in Preferences, FILE IO Options "Enable Legacy HEVC Encoding" was selected. I turned that off. I think that was the cause of slow down and the laggy feeling when editing. I should have mentioned besides GoPro 9 HEVC I use a lot of footage from the Atomos Ninja V in h.265 HEVC due to how efficient on space it is (mostly 8-bit 4:2:0).
EDIT 2: Still feels pretty laggy, at least compared to what I remember with VP18. Canon EOS M6 Mark II 4k footage seems not to play super great. The HEVC change did seem to help a bit, but still not amazing.
Previous comments when legacy HEVC decoding was on:
VP19 is reminding me that I need to build a new computer, lol. Currently a Windows 10 PC with a i7-6700, 32GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 6GB with multiple SSDs. My main editing SSD is a Highpoint PCI-E card with 4xNVMe 1TB drives in RAID 10. I currently have the preview files rendering on a 2TB SATA SSD. The OS is on it's own 2TB NVMe.
The main thing I've noticed so far is GoPro Hero 9 HEVC footage seems to lag in the preview when it generally wouldn't in 18, but maybe it's my imagination. Is VP19 using a new h.265 HEVC decoder? I set the project to 1080p with Draft preview and the lag is still there.
The editor seems to hit the PC more than 18 because the fans spin up louder. Maybe it's the GPU fans, not sure yet. Kind of odd because overall it feels like there is more lag when editing than compared to 18. I need to compare settings and make sure I have everything off that I can.
Previews in the media window still keep refreshing like previous versions of Vegas Pro even when they are images (I often have full resolution images in my projects from mirrorless cameras to show users close up details). So I have to click on a folder that doesn't have a preview like flac audio files to prevent that from pulling resources away while editing. I also limited the timeline previews to the head/tail. hmmm
Visually I like the darker look. Though, I wonder why the menu bar is a bright gray. Some pop-ups are the bright gray as well like preferences. It would be nice to have the entire interface in a dark mode. That said, I do like the more pastel colored tracks. Sometimes the dark ones in VP18 were difficult to see waveforms.
I did get my first lock up when I pasted multiple layers of video/audio tracks and then CTRL-Z too quickly. I do it quickly because sometimes I don't have the correct track selected and VP adds a new unnecessary video track to the timeline. Control Z undoes that so I can select the correct video track before pasting again.
