I downloaded the "feature description document" but I didn't see any documentation on how to use the new "speech to text" feature (only the older "text to speech").

Is there any documentation or a video on how to use "speech to text"? If so, can you point me to it. Thanks.

Vegas plante toujours.

Since updating a few hours ago, Vegas Pro 19 is hanging during editing, specifically when using an fx window.

Is there a way to fall back to the previous build?

Anyone else have a slow updater? My update has been going since 10AM and capped at 1mbps on Win11.

The in-program download/update crashed several times for me (and was progressing quite slowly). So I downloaded the update via the link and installed it externally to VP19 and all is well.

Indeed. Speech to Text starting from p.55 in the updated document. Thanks!

RealityStudio wrote on 3/9/2022, 12:18 PM

Anyone have a working way to get the update? The auto update looks like will take 6 hours to download at this pace, selecting "check for updates" in the app crashes the app, and trying the direct download link for me doesn't do anything at all.

Thanks, that downloaded in 13 seconds lol, perfect. I had to remove that dot at the end as well.

I love this update, 250mbps 4000x3000@30p h264 file with 9 heavy fx, super fluid with half preview monitor size!

But to me the best, after waiting 10 years, i can cut/delete event while playback with auto ripple on!

Thank you devs, now Vegas is PRO again :)

10 second download from the direct link.... :D

Reyfox wrote on 3/9/2022, 1:49 PM

It seems that Happy Otter Scripts has disappeared?

@wwaag??

Also, still slow in doing an initial search with VideoFX, etc....

Testing tomorrow with project already on the timeline.

So annoying, have fast internet but download via Vegas too hours (3.5) and, as often has been the case, the download finishes but blows itself away, with no installer to be found. Came here, clicked link and download and installed an open in a minute. Why even bother having the option in the program? Just put a link there when update available and save frustration for users?!

I'd report 2 issues by editing in HDR10-modus, they are there since the initial release of VP19.

1, start your editing, you are only allowed to click the HDR-view-button once. Deactivating/reactivating it leads all video monitoring scopes gone dead immediately. You must restart VEGAS to get them back.

2, the preview window must be set exactly, say 1280x720, at its pixel size, otherwise it will be distorted when you click the HDR-view-button.

Thanks.
