Does it speed up rendering? Or whats the use of?
I like to see the playhead cursor (the vertical line) change position where render occur.

It may help users who have resource conflicts during rendering. In my tests here there were no real speed differences so if you don't have a problem you can keep the preview on.

Please give us your feedback in this thread.

For a list of changes and new features in this update, please refer to our official announcement.

To help you learn how to use the new features, download the feature description document.

you guys have to upgrade your website's speeds for downloading updates. Every single time I download a patch it takes ages for only a 580MB download. Even on my 1000Mbps. It's bad. Been sitting here waiting for an hour for 580MB.

HEEEELPPP - Update to this version - VEGAS Pro 19 Update 4 (Build 532) - IMMEDIATE CRASH on opening. Not even able to get into the Program. let alone Render and have it crash in there!!!

unsure of which previous update it was up to, but was at least 300+ I keep it up-to-date whenever it notes a need.

About to download previous Version - but so far seems to me this version has a significant number of Issues.

AMD Threadripper 1950x

64GB RAM,

Many TB of storage
Windows 10 2H2, etc.

Cleared Temp files, No Recent Windows Updates. Vegas update run I think earlier this morning, and not working since. PC rebooted.

@Leigh-Green - Nasty…. Did you send report off?

@Leigh-Green - Nasty…. Did you send report off?

Yeah on about the 10th Open attempt. Also after the Reboot and usual troubleshooting steps. I have a deadline for a Render too - with a 750GB Video file taken from a 7hr shoot on Saturday!

I am just running AMD Driver updates now though. I have a Weird theory...I would love to be right about, and will let you know. But not sure what it means other than a VERY consistant set of seemingly random reproducable errors.

It is this theory that AMD drivers are like Milk left out on the bench...it will be ok for a while, but eventually goes off at the worst possible time. Basically Vegas usually works Pretty Good for ages, has ever since Say 13 - and I have progressed through all versions. But what I notice is it starts to get Buggy and Crash more often over time. Then when it is Fairly regular I start looking for answers, and someone might offhand have suggested to someone else to do a Graphics Driver Update...So of course I will go o check my AMD Graphics Software link (right click on desktop.) - only to find that the AMD Software won't open...Hmmm...Interesting. Update the driver by downloading direct from AMD site. Open Vegas and it is as though nothing had happened. Of course I can also open the AMD Software tool.

Of course - I just did that earlier, went to check AMD, and the Software Interface wouldn't open up. So DL'd the AMD update, run that, and just about to Reboot.

I may have also just seen the other issue people are having too though, I DL'd the Vegas Installer (stub) - and it just Stops without continuing each time I start it. I wonder if that is GPU driver issue as well ??!

Leigh-Green wrote on 3/21/2022, 5:53 AM

GPU Driver update - No difference.

Finally got the DL to start - I can't figure how the initial Update had even arrived, since I downloaded the Stub downloader and it couldn't get to any of the *magix.net servers due to a Web Policy rule on my Firewall blocking Everything from downloading. So I am just wondering whether my issue is that the Initial Update just missed some vital signs but never alerted me to it!

If this doesn't work though - Going to have to go for previous version. Anyone got a link as to where Previous Review versions are? Version 19 of course...(All my current project files are 19 Only.)

Well a Full Removal and install of 458 worked fine.
After my work is complete and Deadline covered I might experiment with running update again - unless I see on here someone finds a fix as is and notes to install that instead.

Thanks for suggestions and links

Mickael-Lacoste wrote on 3/23/2022, 9:39 AM

Very bad update for me ! I had to go back to the previous one, 458 !

After update, without any software settings update or project updates, file rendered with AMD optimized renderer were empty, 0Kb and without AMD optimized, render stop at 25% !

Steve_Rhoden wrote on 3/23/2022, 12:55 PM

Mickael-Lacoste, Unfortunately that was a bug that was picked upon immediately after release, so a fix is already underway very soon to specifically correct this issue along with a bit more.

Anyone have a download link for the new (post 532) update?

vkmast wrote on 3/24/2022, 3:21 AM

The "official" links are usually announced on the forum on the release day when Madison WI US staff office hours start. I haven't seen any posts on this yet.

Already the build 550

Cameraman1955 wrote on 3/24/2022, 4:04 AM

A little tip for the very slow download ( I had this also with the 532 )

The build 550 is already there to download, again the download is very very slow, the fastest way to get the updates is to uninstall Vegas 19 and reinstall it with the Magix installer again.

vkmast wrote on 3/24/2022, 4:45 AM

Please note that this thread is discussing VP 19 b532. Thank you.

RogerS wrote on 3/24/2022, 9:33 AM

@vkmast The official B550 update appears to have replaced b532 and points here as update 4:

vkmast wrote on 3/24/2022, 9:55 AM

@RogerS odd. Seems to be a new policy. This will cause confusion. See the post date for example.

( @NickHope can you keep up with the history now? )

@vkmast, I hope this doesn't cause confusion. It's just a quick fix of a bug in the original Update 4 release that we felt couldn't wait until the next larger update. I didn't feel it needed a lot of publicity. I'm sorry if that was the wrong decision, but really just consider this the official Update 4 build now.
