VEGAS Pro 19 Update 4 (Build 550)

@gary-rebholz thanks for the clarification. As above noted, the Readme / Release Notes in my version of VPb 550 refer to this as Update 4.1. I think the confusion should be over now.

Les transitions GL bloquent et plantent Vegas, malgré la mise à jour vers la version build 550.Comment faire pour les supprimer définitivement

Gaby-Frings wrote on 3/24/2022, 12:46 PM

about 550...

how can I get the HEVC, 4.2.2, 10 bit ???

Cannot see any templates....

Howard-Vigorita wrote on 3/24/2022, 4:07 PM

@Gaby-Frings I think the only Vegas built-in 4:2:2 10-bit render is ProRes. I can get HEVC by installing the free render extension from Voukoder and selecting x265... I don't think any of the gpu encoders support hevc 4:2:2 rendering although you should be able to get accelerated 4:4:4 hevc if you have a recent model Nvidia gpu.

Cmin7669 wrote on 3/24/2022, 4:12 PM

Apart from the very slow download, I am happy with the way build 550 is performing so far.

From my perspective Vegas Pro has been through a lot of changes and improvements and this has led to the inevitable bugs. This has caused some issues along the way that could have been avoided if handled better.

No doubt all VP users like the new features that are implemented in the newer versions, but I would bet that stability would override the need for new features for most of us anytime.

No software package can guarantee that there will be no bugs, but ongoing maintenance on a regular basis along with good communication builds very real confidence in the product.

To Gary and his team, good work, this version so far looks to be the best I have experienced in a long time.

Not sure if I clicked on a wrong link for the version of VEGAS that I have, VEGAS Pro 19 Edit, or not but I downloaded and installed the newest version Update 4.1 (Build 550) VEGAS_Pro_19.0.0.550_DE-EN-FR-ES_5738C9B6.exe from the direct download link, and after installing and registering it, it opened in the default layout with a notice about logging into VEGAS Hub. I am not a subscriber, and this wasn't in the previous version of 19 that I had installed, so I'm not sure what's going on. Did I download the wrong file? Or how do I remove the VEGAS Hub stuff from the default layout?

VEGAS Hub was added to the default layout recently, however you can remove it and save your own layout from there to avoid seeing it.

RogerS wrote on 3/24/2022, 9:03 PM

Hub has things of use like tutorials that should be available to non-subscribers. You can always remove it from the layout as Frosty says.

Ecquillii wrote on 3/25/2022, 6:50 AM

fr0sty, thanks for confirming the change. RogerS, I take that should to mean possibly in the future. Will I need a Hub Login to access the content, or will it just appear?

As a work-around without saving the layout, I found that closing out of the VEGAS Hub window to the Project Media window, and then closing and opening VEGAS, brought up that last used view.

Thank you both for your help,

Tim

If you don't see the Hub login/out menu options. go to Options/Customise Toolbar and transfer the Hub login/out selections over to the 'Current Toolbar Buttons' field.

Anybody else getting Project Notes not allowing VP to close, from Details in Task Manager? I need to kill VP in TM. However, if I close the PN Window the next time open and close VP it closes correctly in Task Manager.

@Grazie I've just tried exiting with the project notes window open and don't see your problem. However, I'm still suffering the dreaded PR on exit caused by the latest build of TP7, so closing this down may force a VP close. So I don't think I'm comparing apples with apples. 😉

No second step is needed - it appears in the Hub window as:

I've got Vegas Pro 19 Edit and it is a perpetual (permanent) licence.

Problem solved methinks. You've got the Hub Explorer window open rather than the VEGAS Hub window, and it is the latter that gives all the options include the How Tos.

In View/Window you can check either or both VEGAS Hub and Hub Explorer

Well, now try adding some Projects Notes and testing that. Size doesn’t ALWAYS matter to 😉. But testing a Function that IS being used, will.

After upgrading to version 550, when trying to render via RenderPlus (HOS), Vegas 19 closes without error messages. In Vegas 17, everything works without problems. Reinstalling Happy Otter Scripts didn't help
How to fix it?
