The bandwidth issue is something high on the priority list for our IT department. The just finished a major update of the customer service system, which had taken almost a year to implement. Hopefully they will now be freed up to try to address this issue.

Finally upgraded after using vegas19 for a few months. Hoping for better stability!

Quick question - can I migrate my settings, preferences (timeline / custom keyboard short cuts) from vegas 19 to 20 ?

Thanks !

Is there really or not really a new update of Vegas 19?

I ask because once more an update appeared on my Vegas 19 when I first opened it and I ran it even though it's not the fastest way to do such things and when the progress line had filled in, Vegas crashed. I came here then to look for the more efficient way to go about downloads, but once more, I don't see any signs of this update. I write this in lieu of the last update when you guys were surprised that I got this false alarm at all and it looks like it is happening to me again. True, or false?

I have to say I'm very disappointed in this new update, just went from Vegas 19 to 20 with today's update but the timeline is incredibly laggy in Vegas 20, to the point where I'm sitting banging my fist on my table in frustration. I can't figure out why this new version is so much worse and I tried copying over my preferences but that didn't help either. What is going on with this new update?

It is auto adjusting the preview quality up and down no matter where I set it. How can I disable the feature? Vegas 20

I am happy that VST audio engine has been repaired for me, it runs even better than any older version! Thank you! The CG hue to sat curves are amazing and works very well, the color algorithm is smooth even on 8bit footage (in 32bit project mode). Great news! One thing I do not understand is the zoom preview. It seems it just zooms the preview resolution no matter what the original resolution of the project or video is on the timeline. So if I have a 4K project with a 480p preview window but "Best Full" preview quality, I expect to zoom up to 1:1 project resolution, but it is hardly pixelated even in 200% zoom... For me this is useless, do I miss something?

The same happened to me until I realized that colour grading was activated above the preview window (not by me) removing this changed the rate on my project from 6-11 fps to the expected 25.

It took about one hour to download 😕 Anyway - the update process went smoothly, and everything seems to work just fine 👍

First impression is Build 214 is looking more stable than its predecessor. I edited GoPro 4K footage shot at two different FPS (by accident 60/24) with no freeze issues in either editing or rendering. The update notes specifically state there was a change to the GoPro decoder. I'm optimistic... Additionally, the Nvidia (Studio) drivers updated yesterday to 522.30 - Looking forward to turning the Live Save option back off :-)

@Przemyslaw-Majdak It's not related to this build but Microsoft broke it. Here's a workaround.

The RTX 40 Series also brings about a small performance boost for those using the GPU for either hardware decoding or encoding of H.264 and HEVC media.

Encode at 4K25p using MagixHevc NVENC, and MagixAVC software(mainconcept) . If you have the time MagixAvc NVENC also, post the encode times, then do the same when you get your rtx4090

Damn it, my first crash. Added three music songs to project, dropped one on the time line hit play and it started playing but with video lagging behind music then white screen of death. Re-start, reload project repeat adding the music tracks and off it goes normally.
