There are restrictions as always, depending on if your license is perpetual or subscription and what "model" you are using.

After updating from 314 to 315....No VEGAS Hub anymore ??????? VEGAS Hub online 3 dots😬. But it still works in VP20 ????

A total reset was the solution to my problem.

I was prompted to run my generated media Audio Sync Test using Vegas Pro 21-314 and observed the following audio decode differences from compoundplug.dll to mxcompoundplug.dll.

compoundplug.dll

mxcompoundplug.dll

Notes:

  1. Used the default Magix AVC/AAC render template and placed the file back on the Vegas Pro timeline.
  2. Since I hear sound transmitted through air, I'm not particularly offended by "lagging audio".

@Wolfgang S. in regards to your comment on the other thread....I appreciate that there is a thread for the new update/patch....but that doesn't change the fact I did not get support, or even a response in the previous thread after providing what was requested by Magix staff, after months. If there was some other reasonable way to get support, I would do so. The issue is still the same as I mentioned in the previous thread...yet I now have to start the whole request for support from the beginning once again, and once again repeat myself with regards to the issue.

Since your point does not show up in the new feature list, I would say that it was not solved.

I assume that you are talking about the timecode issue posted from your side here?

I have no information if and when it will be corrected. That is up to the development team.

Have you posted an example file, as it was requested some time ago? That would help the team.

I posted what was asked of me...the mediainfo extract. Exactly as I have done above. And yes, its the same issue that you link to. But I realised that I wasn't getting support from the devs on that thread.

No, typically they need a sample of the original footage. To be able to repro and test that.

@Shaun_K: For this particular case, yes...some sample footage would be beneficial for us to reproduce the issue and to use in our automated testing to ensure, once this is fixed, it does not get broken with changes we make in the future.

Debugging scripts in Visual Studio still appears to be broken. I even tried the 2022 preview build and no change. It attempts to start up Vegas, but then within a second the IDE gets a return code from the application.

Also, It would be nice if when there is an update and the re-registration thing automatically pops up that the serial number and email address are obscured by default. Have a check box where the user can see that information if they want. This bit me today when I was streaming. I don't have much of an audience on twitch, so I'm probably fine, but in my case not great to showing that information automatically and updates happen infrequently enough it's easy to forget private information is show upon startup.

After installing Visual Studio 2017 and rebuilding my project for that IDE, the same issue happens with Vegas Pro 21 build 315 upon trying to debug/run and that IDE. I'm not sure if any of the previous builds of Vegas Pro 21 have worked with debugging as I started using it somewhat recently.

eg: "The program '[12768] vegas210.exe' has exited with code 0 (0x0)."

Vegas Pro 19 works fine with debugging, so it appears to be Vegas 21.

I'm having a weird issue where the rotating update window and the completed window are showing the upper-left quadrant only. See image. The first time I tried to update it just went round and round and I finally reset it and the second time it ran and seems to have updated. Haven't tested the program beyond this point yet.

vkmast wrote on 5/27/2024, 2:42 AM

@Jos-DeRoeck try contacting shop@magix.net by email if you want to cancel the (perpetual) license that you have purchased and get one of the two currently available 365 subscription versions instead (VEGAS Pro Edit 365 or VEGAS Pro Suite 365).

You activate your VP 365 with its own specific serial number. Note that " VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device only at a time. To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month. You Ican also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required.

Hello all,

I have two issues\questions.

1. Since the new update a couple of days ago, each time I make a cut on my time line (s), it only applies to the video or audio track I am on, though both tracks are of the same footage. What can be done?

2. This is an old issue - I need Right-to-Left script (Hebrew) in text (subtitles, etc) and punctuation marks do not appear where they should be. For instance, brackets appear inside out, )etc(.

Can any of you help me out?

Thanks,

Rony

1. Since the new update a couple of days ago, each time I make a cut on my time line (s), it only applies to the video or audio track I am on, though both tracks are of the same footage. What can be done?

@Rony-Alfandary It sounds like your video and audio streams became ungrouped somehow. Make sure they are lined up, then select both (hold CTRL when you click the 2nd one), then press 'G' for 'group' on your keyboard. This is also on the context menu if you right-click on an event.

Might be best to make a new post on the forum about your 2nd issue.

This is what should happen:

  • If no video or audio event is highlighted on the timeline, then a split will affect all video and audio events on the timeline at the split point.
  • If the video and audio event are grouped, then if only one of the events is highlighted (i.e. video or audio), then both video and audio will be split.
  • If the video and audio events are ungrouped, then only the highlighted event will be split.
  • If you have a number of video or audio events stacked on the timeline (i.e. multiple tracks one above the other), only the highlighted events will be split - though grouped events will also be included in the split even if not highlighted.
