Wolfgang S. wrote on 5/4/2023, 6:16 AM

why did you lock my thread when it was the first posted workaround, and still relevant to Vegas 19?

To anyone else who might know: Is there any hope that 19 will be patched like 20?

Simply because we wanted to focus the discussion to few threads. And since the development team came up with a solution for Vegas Pro 20 within some hours, I assume that there will be a solution for Vegas Pro 19 also in the near future (but we cannot be more specific about that, I am afraid).

A possible intermediate solution for Vegas Pro 19 is shown here:

@NickHope why did you lock my thread when it was the first posted workaround, and still relevant to Vegas 19?...

@NOVAdash To keep discussion of the issue, which affected VP19 and 20 in same way, under control and in one place. There was a tsunami of posts that were addressing the same issue, creating chaos, duplication and confusion. When I locked your thread, your very welcome workaround had already been posted in the thread I linked to in my closing comment.

Has anyone uploaded build 403 to a Google Drive or similar application? I tried all of the URLs available, only 3 started to download and the best has an ETA of 6 hours for the 627 mb.

I was cancelling the comment as it diminished for 43 minutes. But when I look again it's back for 12 hours. It's gonna be a long way 😬

Several users are reporting problems opening Vegas Pro. Not just version 20.

Possibly a recent Windows Update is causing the problem. Until it's resolved the following work around has been posted by several users.

Disconnect from internet > Open project > Reconnect to internet.

Alternatively Manually change your pc systems date has worked for some. See posts below.

Edit: VEGAS Pro 20 build 403 solves this issue. See Here.

Literally, it is solved when you change the date to May 2 2023. It's not solved with unplugging network cable. It appears to run PERFECTLY once you've changed the date. Crazy situation!

It should be solved with build 403 for Vegas Pro 20. Please test it.

These download speeds are absolutely insane. Hours and hours.

Fair warning, extreme patience is required.

That's a different crash related to your NewBlue plugins.

After 5 uninstalls and reinstalls... I found this thread and turned off my internet connection. It worked. I was so mad.

I called the Company this morning in Germany and explained that I was unable to run Vegas 19 pro if my PC was connected to the internet.

I do hope that they fix this. It is a ridiculous problem to have for people who us this software to make a living.

I called at 8:42AM Eastern Time - It will be interesting to see how long it takes to fix the problem.

The support staff I spoke with were completely unaware this issue existed.

TAGyerit wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:12 AM

It doesn't help the that the Vegas v.20 update/install downloads at a SNAIL'S PACE, it was on track to take an HOUR to download 650MB on my high-speed connection, there should be an option to download the full software, not just the tiny installer program. I stumbled on to this forum thread while waiting for the download (hoping it would fix the issue) and the "turn off internet" worked for me, so thanks for that. Hokey.

Vega wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:13 AM

Can anyone help with this download?

The speed is painful.

Billy-Griffin wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:44 AM

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE BY VEGAS !!! I have clients right now expecting video delivery !!! I've disconnected internet, tried opening Vegas, still won't open... shows it loading, then just disappears. Anyone else having major issues and how can we get the dang software to load? Is Vegas going to give us credit for lost revenue today ?!?!? TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE !!! FIX THIS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

karma17 wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:45 AM

I haven't downloaded the fix yet, but last night, all I had to do was simply turn off the wi-fi to get V20 to work on Windows 10 and 11. Since then, I have just left Vegas open and will reinstall soon. Because I use Vegas everyday, it is easier for me to just keep the program open for now. My biggest takeaway from all this is to check the forum first before doing anything else!.

Billy-Griffin wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:45 AM

STOP PUTTING OUT UPDATES UNTIL YOU TEST AND VERIFY !!! I'm sick of all the updates that Vegas does and has no effect on the actual stability of the software. It's unreliable, unstable; I wish I had the time to learn Divinci Resolve and just drop Vegas altogether.

Billy-Griffin wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:47 AM

I have my internet tied directly to my router by ethernet. Disconnected the cable into the router and verified I had no internet service. Tried opening Vegas; no luck. Any ideas ?? Much appreciated folks; I'm desperate here with projects due NOW
