I just installed VP20. The supplied activation key for Boris FX Primate does not work. I get the message that it is not the right key for this product from Boris. How do I message Magix to give me a working activation key? I can't find an email address or phone number for Magix support.
Although I've only been working with VP20 for a few hours, it seems like it's working well for me. The installation went very well, quick and easy. Playback has been smooth, and it's nice that my VST3 plugins are now working... and without the typical stuttering and weirdness of VST operation in the past few VP versions. Thanks for that!! Audio is a HUGE part of what I do, and not being able to use certain plugins has been very frustrating.
The only issue I've encountered is that the Digital Anarchy Beauty Box Video OFX Version 4 plugin doesn't work on VP20. Their Version 4 plugin had been the last version to state compatibility with Vegas, with OFX Version 5 only "officially" compatible with Resolve and Nuke (they say other hosts "may" be compatible, but no support or guarantees it will work). Well... Version 4 no longer works with VP20. HOWEVER, I took the chance and upgraded to Version 5, and I'm happy to report it's working just fine with VP20. Just info for anyone who might use that particular plugin. 👍
For what it's worth, no single application is perfect... we all know that. Vegas Pro is, in my opinion, the most friendly, intuitive, and broadly-capable single application workflow for creative video production. I use Premiere, Resolve, and AfterEffects often enough, because of a particular project compatibility or specific ability that only those applications have... they all have their unique powers... but if I'm starting a new project and have a choice, I'll pick Vegas Pro every time. I do hope the developers receive enough kind support to continue doing what they do, amidst all the complaining. 😁
can u send a sample clip which is unusable for u but that is of same FPS resolution & same bitrates?
Her clip is here, in a thread I missed otherwise I would have tried to help then. Fwiw, I don't have the same gpu as @Kloverton. My high-end boards are Amd. But I threw the clip into Resolve Studio and got a bunch of stuttering between a barrage of gpu error messages. Resolve seems particularly confused by my 11900k which has Nvidia, Amd, and Intel in the same box. Vegas, otoh, has been golden with vp18 and 19 and seems to be good so far with the vp20 release.
Resolve will use multiple GPU's, but you are supposed to use the same model GPU. You have a very high powered AMD GPU, and a lower powered Nvidia GPU, your performance if it worked ok, would maybe have 150% the power of your weak Nvidia GPU, and Vram size will be the smallest of the GPU's. You could check if there's an option to turn of multi GPU support, I doubt AMD and Nvidia can work together without problems.
Vegas no such problem, as it can only use a single GPU for processing. I will also have to investigate this problem if I do as you are planning and buying an Intel Arc 380 for only GPU decode on both NLE's.
Happy with the continued development of Vegas. I notice that VP20 responds slower to the commands like play and pause than in VP19. Did I miss something in the settings?

Not seeing this myself and I have an underpowered 3rd Gen i5.
I've installed Vegas 20 and opened up several existing projects. Some were done in Vegas 11 32bit, some were in Vegas 17. All had multiple audio plugins (Rx, Waves mostly). Vegas 11, since it uses 32bit versions of the plugins never stumbled with audio. 13-19 stumbled if you had just one 64bit (non-magix) plugin, especially when scrolling during playback. We've known this for some time now. CONGRATS on fixing this. Vegas 20, with multiple tracks each with 4-5 Waves and RX 64bit (VST2) plugins behaves nicely now. Whew.
Missing: internal preferences. Holding SHIFT when selecting Preferences under Options used to bring up the internal prefs, which is where I changed the timestretch properties so that Elastique/Soloist (Speech) was the chosen one. FOUND IT: you must hold SHIFT before clicking Options now, rather than after. Now the INTERNAL menu shows up at the bottom of the Options menu.
@vkmast I'd been using 17, bought 19 last week and only had a few days with it, knowing 20 was around the corner, so this was news to me. I searched both only and in the help for Vegas20 and didn't find it. And, I knew what I was looking for. hah!
Internal prefs are meant for developer and QA use, not the end user, so that's why it isn't listed in help. Most of the stuff in internal prefs we used to use it for is now accessible in preferences... for instance, the so4compoundplug.dll settings are now "Legacy HEVC/AVC" in file i/o. That said, it can be useful to use internal prefs, assuming you know what you are doing, but it's also easy to mess stuff up, so be careful.
@JMacSTL I think this comment is still valid regarding the updates to the in-app Help files and manual. Note though the 81-page document "VEGAS Pro 20 New Feature descriptions". Link in this post.
@fr0sty Could you test the 360° feature? Is there a chance, that it will be fixed at last in Version 20 Update 1 oder Update 2? See here for description and settings. (360° Checkbox moved from Video-Tab to Advanced)
I can't give any timeframe on when the fix can be implemented, but I have brought it to the attention of the development team and gave them steps and test media/project files they can use to reproduce the issue on their end, so hopefully they can find the problem and get it sorted quickly, but no promises. They have a LOT on their plate right now, so be patient.

As mentioned (linked) earlier in this thread, "If you have not received the confirmation email, please contact customer support, specifying your order number, under: shop@magix.net". First check your spam folder(s). You may need to wait for a couple of days, if as before these emails are sent in batches (not all simultaneously).
(Note that it's the weekend ATM and the responses may not be instantaneous.)
Vegas Pro has launched Vegas Pro 20 (Perpetual License)
Does anyone know if it has audio sync like Plural Eyes. Now since Maxon has taken over Red Giant Plural Eyes, its no more available as OFX to work with Vegas Pro. Also, it has stopped working after Vegas Pro 17. It doesnot recognize in V Pro 18, 19
It is the most important requirement. But i dont see any mention of audio sync. Nowadays, every videographer uses minimum 2 video cameras
