Yes, I can and did create a template that works. It is the latest build. I cannot tell you if I had 24fps on the list before the build. It is also odd that the customize and render options and about buttons are blank until I hover over them with the mouse. Wierd. Reminder both my computers have the same problem.

The answer is presumably yes, there is a beta team, as about eight months ago there was a post inviting applications for beta testers.

Not a developer but I think QA/QC and beta testing are somewhat distinct if complementary roles. Both presumably exist. Maybe it would be good to have an "early release" program where people could opt into updates sooner and potentially uncover issues before the full rollout?

My render dialog box on completion does not highlight the options at the bottom for open file location/open. It opens the file if you click on it but before it would complete with the options highlighted.

Anyone experience sudden crash issues applying Elastique under Properties with VP 18 latest Build? I'm figuring it's the Windows 10 system update that has caused this.

I'm considering upgrading to Vegas 18 if it will fix this. But I don't want to spend the money to have the same issue w VP 18 I'm having w VP 17.

fyi: The latest (supposedly Windows 10 safe) version of VP 17 Build 455 did not solve this issue.

I managed to get Pluraleyes 4 in, but multi-cam editing seems to be working really badly since the update. The moment I switch to enable multicam editing in VP18 the framerates of the preview window drop to about 10FPS, and even if I put preview quality on "Draft-auto" it is still that way, just blurrier!

What the deuce is going on?

No. I had to login to Maxon and then Red Giant. Then when I cancelled out and went to PluralEyes a second time it worked. I did an actual sync of a recent interview and exported the timeline back to VP 18.527 without issue. Perhaps reinstall PE 4?

I have just tried to download the 527 update and it downloads then asks me to update again, over and over. It will not let me update at all. Strange.

@david-ruby If you download from the prompt inside the software and select to install after the program is closed, you should find the relevant update.exe here C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Vegas Pro\18.0

If it's not there, try other options (see points 3, 4 and 6 here). Sometimes Chrome does not download without a workaround, so you may need to try another browser. (Be sure to also check Task Manager first to see that there are no VEGAS processes running.)

I have updated the 1st. post in this thread with the new info re: #2 item below.

"#1 Ok, just tested (all on laptop) two R5 clips that wouldn't previously load into VP b482, they do now load and play. They are Hevc Clog 422 10 bit, IPB and ALL-I.

#2 Also I can now turn back on HW Decoding (turning OFF was a previous fix) in I/O for the R5 high data rate, (format profile 6.1) AVC, ALL-I 8bit 420 files that had previously shown either black or green preview screen.

Excellent."

Update: I may have overlooked something. Item #2, does work as long as I use Intel HW decoding, but Nvidia HW decoding doesn't work, flashing, black preview screen.

I only saw that today, I thought it might be because of using a more recent updated Nvidia driver that is now causing the problem, but not so. The Nvidia driver on my laptop is up to date all right and I thought that that might be it, but when I checked my PC, it's an older February version, and has the issue. So I must have previously tested only using Intel decoding in I/O and overlooked testing using NVDec.

The sample tested clip is AVC ALL-I CLOG 8bit 420

I was running Build 434 on two identical Dell M6700 workstations and had found workarounds for some bugs, such that Vegas Pro 18 worked fine for me. I just upgraded to 527 and the preview window and the video ribbon no longer show any video. Sound ribbon is fine. Also, Vegas keeps doing the "circle stall cursor" followed by the "usual arrow cursor", over and over in an endless loop that lasts about 15 secs for a 7 minute video (created in 434). I can only close Vegas in task manager. How do I roll my one workstation back to build 434, and how do I get Vegas to stop requesting that I update at each start-up (I am likely to accidentally press the update button if it keeps showing). I also replaced build 434 with 527 on my M4700. The same issue occurred. It has been a couple weeks (today is 3Jun2021), and I again attempted to run build 527 on my M4700, and this time Vegas ran properly. It somehow fixed itself. When I get a chance, I will reverse the backup and re-try 527 on my M6700 (has same chipset).

Australia. I was able to do a direct download for the main program except for Isotope RX 7 Elements, which is taking forever thru the download manager. I have a 250 Mbps connection, so that is not the bottleneck. Seems to be the Magix server.

Don't know if it's off the same server but I find the direct download link at the bottom of this post to be substantially faster.

Nobody solved the problem with default settings after launch?

Everything that i saved is gone, settings always resets after launch???

I don't think this is a common issue at least since the last two updates.

I think it is common. I'm experiencing the same problem right now and its annoying. I've tried reinstalling VEGAS and that didn't work.

It's not. You should contact support if you see this. There are ways they can help to sort this out.

What's happening with Vegas Pro, all web pages relating to VP are down? Is it due to a new version or is something else in progress?
