It seems that I have to upgrade to Platinum to use a microphone to input audio as the "arm for record" buttons are all greyed out and unclickable. True?
According to the MS 15 manual that version "can record audio". Search online Help (F1), Contents and Index "arm for record" or "recording audio" to see if the relevant help item is there.
ok, i figured it out. I plugged in the microphone after the software was open and it didn't recognize it. Pretty sure that's what happened as I setup the microphone and then restarted the software and all is well now. thank you.
Please go to Vegas Audio Preferences and select ASIO drivers only.
Your Mapper may be hijacked by another device, and your description suggests that.
Also, ASIO allows monitoring, a very handy feature, while WDM drivers may not.
