Big distracting blinking cursor

Trialing Vegas a bit, I ran into a couple big problems right away, but I'll start with the big one: how do you get rid of the bright white/black blinking cursor in the timeline? I can't focus on anything else while there's a big blinking thing in the middle of the screen, it's way too distracting. This is a hard dealbreaker for me. Maybe there's something in preferences, but the preferences window looks like it's from the 90s (a million tabs with no search), so if there is I can't find it...

Resize the timeline, make that *blinking cursor disapear?

* It's playhead actually

See if this thread, last post helps. Have not needed to test.

Huh. I have to disable cursor blinking across the entire OS to stop the giant one in Vegas? That's not going to happen... (thanks for the link though)

If you don't work on the timeline, you can temporarily stop the blinking/flashing of that Current Timeline Indicator by clicking Stop on the Transport Bar below the Video Preview window.

Sometimes just working with a new visual set for a few days helps. I had the same trouble learning to work with MS Word.
