Cannot trim any video or audio files in any project on any timeline.

Dear to whom it may concern,

I bought a full version of Sony Vegas Movie Maker 15.0 for 200 USD in order to edit gameplays and footage I had and make videos, and recently the trim feature in the sony vegas menu stopped working entirely. What I mean is when I try to right click on an audio or video file of any kind, the trim feature in the menu that pops up will be greyed out and I will not be able to click on it. When I try doing ctrl + T as well It will not work either. This stuns me as It was working earlier today when I edited footage, and even after I restarted my computer and the program it still was not working properly, even after I opened up a new project. If I cannot edit my videos, I will ultimately have to request a refund as the product they sold me was faulty. Again, this is a very recent problem and I do not know how to solve it. I have sent a inquiry to MAgix already and will wait for their response and you guys's responses. I am also using a MSI gl72 laptop with windows 10 operating on it if that helps.

Thanks and hopefully I find a reasonable answer. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help me out

-Ben

You clicked something. Not enough info to tell just what. Reset the GUI.

Ctrl+Shift +Double click the Vegas icon.

Well I tried resetting it and the trim icon still doesnt work. I found out I can just split clips and delete said clips though, although it will be harder I will just do that from now on.

Look at the buttons and their tool tips. Try them.

Most of us split and trim on the timeline, however.
