Do magix really distribute Vegas for free?

Hello, I am a college student interested in video editing.
I usually used free tools provided by various companies.
I just came here to confirm the news that my friend has a free release of the Vegas 15 version today.
As a result of my Google search, it is true that Vegas is actually distributed for free on a site, and the site has a banner of magix, so it seemed official.

Below is the link.
https://ap.magix.com/pss2/gRfv61cFvf1dcFd1/us/

However, when I searched the magix homepage directly with Google, there was no hint to go to the link, so I wondered if this was really an official distribution.
So I came to the forum and saw that an employee commented that this had not been confirmed.

Currently, YouTube videos are being made in Korea, and news of this distribution is spreading, so I ask a question.

Is this an unofficial distribution that is still unconfirmed?
So what are they doing this for?

If the official release is correct, I will take it seriously before the deadline is over.
Please note that I used the translator for my lack of English proficiency.
I hope you have a nice day.

Wow, I didn't know you would answer it yourself, sir!
Thanks for your answer. Looks like I wrote a lot of silly questions. Please have a nice day!

Sometimes older versions may be offered at very low prices through other channels. Some of those offers are approved by MAGIX and it's always worth trying to check that they are.

New advice re the free VMS 15 is to send an email to affiliate@magix.net and mention GiveawayOfTheDay in the subject line.

Yes, and I apologize for feeling impatient. I don't work for Vegas, but sometimes we forum users catch the brunt when a third party makes a mistake, as another one did just a couple of weeks ago.

Stick around and learn, and watch for deals from this website; I've also had good luck with Humble Bundle occasionally.
