How does that matter? Vegas Pro 14 was also made by Magix, just published on Steam.

The Steam editions are not sold through MAGIX. Re upgrading, try asking infoservice@magix.net for clarifications.

This is a consistent request from Steam users. The sales model through Steam does not allow for us to effectively deliver "upgrade" offers to existing users since we do not receive specific sales information on individual users on that platform. Really, it is up to Steam to start providing a mechanism which could provide a viable upgrade model.

With that said, to compensate for the lack of upgrades, from time to time VEGAS is sold on sale on Steam at a significant discount which should be (extremely) competitive with standard upgrade prices.
