Say there is part of my video that is funny and I want to upload it by itself, or just save. How can I do this? I'm day 1 new to Vegas, so you might need to hand hold a little.
Click M where you want to start. Click M where you want to end.
Double click between the markers. Render that.

What Musicvid said. Though when you go to render that way make sure you check off render loop region only. You can also open the video in the trimmer use the same method with markers or just click and drag to highlight then drag the clip you want onto the timeline.
I'm confused. I don't think Musicvid has it right. Double clicking between the markers selects the entire event. I think he meant to type "s" to split where you want to start and "s" again where you want to end. Then if you double click on the split section, it selects the split section -- then you can render that.
To upload the selected section you can use file/share online.

it works in the trimmer i guess, flips back and fourth from highlighting between markers and whole clip.
