How to get a refund? HELP!

k-m4883 wrote on 3/23/2018, 8:14 PM

I signed up for the 3-moth version of Vegas Pro 365 on March 11th, 2018. It said that if I canceled the contract within the first 14 days I could get a refund. But I can't find anything on the Magix site when I view my account or on the Magix support site about how to do that. Can somebody please help me?

If you click "Purchasing details" on https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/int/vegas-pro-365/ (bottom of page, next to "Buy Now"): "Subscription and cancellation conditions: VEGAS Pro 365 will be available immediately after payment and activation. The charge for the minimum term is payable as a single sum upon conclusion of the contract. The minimum term begins when the product is activated. If you cancel your order within 14 days, you will receive a complete refund. The contractual period of VEGAS Pro 365 will be automatically extended by 12 months at a time until you cancel the agreement. You will be informed well in advance if the extension rate or taxes included change. A cancellation is possible up to 1 month before the end of the contract period. To cancel the contract, please send an email stating your customer number to: infoservice@magix.net".

@vkmast thank you for your help. but what i dont understand is how do i find my customer number, please reply. Thanks Spencer Hammond

@Spencer-Hammond that quote and the current link ("Purchasing details") on the VP 365 product page do mention "your customer number". Note that if you go to the 2nd link in my post above and read the text, it does not mention that in II: §2. If you do not find a Customer number in any correspondence that you received, write or maybe preferably email Magix using the contact info above anyway.

@vkmast all i have is a serial number and a contract number. Would any of these possibly work?

vkmast wrote on 7/5/2019, 1:25 AM

@Spencer-Hammond I certainly would assume so. You need to try it.

@vkmast could the customer number be in my email?

Spencer-Hammond wrote on 7/5/2019, 1:30 AM

@vkmast im really sorry to bother you. :( , so i just send them an email of serial number or customer number to infoservice@magix.net and it will be cancelled?

Spencer, @vkmast is a fellow user who volunteers his time to help others. Asking him to speak on Magix' behalf is outside his responsibility.

You have the email and two numbers to give them. If they need more information, (probably not), they will let you know. Until then, no worries, you will be treated fairly.

I'm using Vegas.
But I never knew it was automatic payment.
After one year of use, and suddenly another year was paid, I canceled the payment request to infoservice@magix.net.
But only one month ago, the answer came back saying I didn't say it.
What should I do now?

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/terms-and-conditions/

Click there "PDF version of the Terms and Conditions". In the opening document see II. Special provisions for software subscriptions, § 2 Contractual period, cancellation.

Or try to negotiate through https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/request ?
