Vegas is not a Microsoft product. It does not communicate with your flight simulator.

As there's no news of Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 14 Steam edition, you might want to check this thread.

The Steam Editions should be the same as the regular versions in functionality. They just get their license from Steam. Yes, you can add New Blue FX or any other pug-ins that you want. I don't know about upgrades though. That would be a question for the MAGIX sales team.

Except you can't run multiple applications of Vegas Steam edition. In regular version, you can copy and paste from different applications.

Wow, I never realized this. I only have Movie Studio Steam Edition and I never tried to open two copies at the same time. I guess it does have some restrictions.

Try it... because every time you want to run this version, the steam will check for the already running application and 'guides' you back to that application.

Confirmed. It switches to the running copy when you try to open a second one. :(

I've never tried it but the whole concept of Steam is that I can login to my account from any PC and play my games so unless Sony (now MAGIX) did something to prevent this, it should work.
