Import .avi error

AVI is just a wrap... but it can contains a mix of codec. Downloading xvid codec doesn't mean you are automatically able to load it.

So, for easy, where this AVI file coming from?

I have the same problem. And 18 Vegas opens the file, and 19 does not want to.

AVi/MP4 files can be problematic. Try changing the video file suffix to .mp4 and see if it loads.

@Fedosyki Look at the files Properties on your Vegas 18 timeline and tell us which Plug-in is being used.
