Hello! Just dropping by to find an answer to question I have that I haven't been able to find elsewhere;
I recently rediscovered a thing of Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 HD Platinum that I have from ~2011, and I'm curious if, despite it out-dating the OS, it could still run and function well on Windows 10.
I tried looking up a bit to find some answers, but the most pertinent thing I could find was a topic in here detailing the issues people had with Movie Studio 12 during the updating to Windows 10 everyone was doing; I imagine an even earlier edition would elicit even more issues. This concerned me, but I also have software that was built and has not been worked or developed upon by its creators since the early 1990s which still run perfectly fine on my Windows 10; I imagine that if a generation-old piece of software still works fine, something developed and released some decade ago should similarly work fine.
In short, I'm uncertain whether the program would function correctly or not. Best way to find out would likely be to load the disc, boot it, and see how it performs, but I don't want to risk breaking something or so within my OS by booting some sort of incompatible program. I'm also wondering if anyone else has ran old versions of Sony Vegas on newer OS's and can offer some words of advice from doing so.
Thanks to everyone who responds!
