The first thing to do is to check that your system meets Vegas Pro 17 system requirements, particularly in regard to:

Processor: 6th Generation Intel Core i5 (or AMD equivalent) or better. 2.5 Ghz and 4 Core minimum. For 4k, 7th Generation Intel Core i7 (or AMD equivalent) or better. 3.0 Ghz and 8 Core minimum

RAM: 8 GB RAM minimum (16 GB recommended; 32 GB recommended for 4K)

If your media is 4K, then 8GB RAM is insufficient and would explain jittery timeline playback.

Is your monitor 4K? If yes, you could try adjusting the Scale and Layout zoom setting in the Windows Display window under Settings

Cameras: Sony FDR-AX100E; GoPro Hero 11 Black Creator Edition; Samsung S23 Ultra smart phone

Installed: Vegas Pro 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23, HitFilm Pro 2021.3, DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.3, BCC 2026, Mocha Pro 2026, NBFX TotalFX 7, Neat NR 6, DVD Architect 6.0, MAGIX Travel Maps, Sound Forge Pro 16, SpectraLayers Pro 12, iZotope RX11 Advanced and many other iZ plugins, Vegasaur 4.0

Windows 11 25H2

Dell Alienware Aurora 11:

10th Gen Intel i9 10900KF - 10 cores (20 threads) - 3.7 to 5.3 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 - liquid cooled

64GB RAM - Dual Channel HyperX FURY DDR4 XMP at 3200MHz

C drive: 2TB Samsung 990 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD

D: drive: 4TB Samsung 870 SATA SSD (used for media for editing current projects)

E: drive: 2TB Samsung 870 SATA SSD

F: drive: 6TB WD 7200 rpm Black HDD 3.5"

Dell Ultrasharp 32" 4K Color Calibrated Monitor

LAPTOP:

Dell Inspiron 5310 EVO 13.3"

i5-11320H CPU

C Drive: 1TB Corsair Gen4 NVMe M.2 2230 SSD (upgraded from the original 500 GB SSD)

Monitor is 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz

Hi all ,

I'm at my wit's end. Any video I'm dragging or importing into Vegas I look like a robot (jittering i suppose). I've had someone really helpful on the end of the line trying to sort it for me. I've updated all my drivers, I've tried everything. These videos work perfectly well in all other platforms including Cyberlink video editor, just don't work in Vegas.

THE OTHER PROB - the project properties box. I can't click apply at the bottom as it's too big for my screen, I can't change this? So it means whatever I put in that box if I click save I can't name it to save that setting as I can't see the bottom? I can resize my Vegas when I open it... have tried all sorts screen resolutions. I so need some help PLEASE, this cost me too much.

Also I can't contact Magix tech support. I've only just purchased Vegas and it's telling me to put a voucher number in when I'm trying to contact support?? One nightmare after another... it's asking me to purchase a voucher than tells me my product reg is too old and buy a voucher from shop. I really don't understand what is going on. ( HELP PLEASE )

Thank you so much in advance. Vegas 17 Windows 10 8gb ram AMD A8 radeon r5 graphics.

Are your videos variable frame rate? We won't know until you post the required file properties in Section C of:

Read all of the information in that post as well!
