preview window has a blue tine that I'd like to remove

I am a brand new user. The preview window has a blue tint. How do I get rid of this? Thank you!

This is in the preview monitor, not the renders. The video in the timeline looks fine.

Is this tint present in renders, or only in the preview monitor?

Calibrate your monitor?

You are in 8-bit full and not say 32-bit full? Stay in 8-bit unless you are using high-bit depth footage (10 bit, etc.)

To add to Roger's comment, the vast majority of video out there today is 8 bit, so if you aren't sure if you have 10 bit or higher video, there's a very, very good chance that it is 8 bit. You do not want to work on 8 bit video in 32 bit mode, as it is much slower and you don't get any added benefit.

You may have added an effect at the Media, Event, Track, or Preview level and not removed it. Until you're familiar with those four locations, your best bet is to start a new Project, and add your media again.

From Vegas Magix Technical Support:

Let's have you perform a program reset to default settings:
1. Hold down Ctrl+Shift while double clicking on the program icon to open the program
2. Continue holding down until you see a small window appear
3. Make sure to check the box for "delete all cached application data"
4. Click yes and reopen the program
It worked!

Note that the support advice above is one of the FAQs most often cited on this forum. Nice that it worked for you.
