Teachable/Wistia what render specifications to choose

Hi everyone,

I'm absolutely no tech savvy person. But so far I've always managed to create a half decent video on Vegas and upload it onto my teachable account but they've changed something this week and I'm not able to upload anything anymore. And I hope that some tech savvy people in here can help me. :) I'm using Vegas movie studio 16 Suite on a desktop PC.

I usually render my videos using Sony AVC/MVC - internet 1920x1080-30p. That always worked but not anymore.

What other setting can I use to make my videos up-loadable onto teachable which is using Wistia? Please keep the explanations simple so that any dummy can understand it lol ;)

I also tried using Handbrake to compress my file but that butchered my video and nothing looked nice anymore. Also my file was only 66MB so quite small hence I'm not sure why I do have issues uploading it as the max size is 2GB. But then it's probably something technically that I'm just not aware of.

Thanks for your help. :)

I've never heard of Teachable/Wistia but you need to clarify what you mean by "I'm not able to upload anything anymore"? What exactly happens when you try to upload, any error messages? Could it possibly be that there is an upload limit and you've reached it?

The max limit is 2 GB and my file is 66MB. That makes it smaller than the max limit, doesn't it?

It starts uploading but in the middle it just stops and doesn't upload the file. No error message nothing. Teachable is the website provider that I use to sell my courses. And supposingly they use Wistia as their video hosting site. I hope that makes more sense now. :)

Yes 2 is less than 66, but maybe there's a weekly or overall limit? Anyway as it starts to upload that's probably not the problem.

My impression is it's a hosting issue, as your files uploaded previously. Does Teachable or Wistia have a Community forum where you could see if anyone else is having problems?

@EricLNZ a relief to know that this may happen to the best as well 😬

@EricLNZ

Hell, I do this every morning. The other day I posted that my upload was 144GB, when of course it was MB. Coffee and humble pie is a daily breakfast ritual at this house 😔
