V6 video output formats

I have an old (v6 !!) version of Vegas that I started using again. Video output formats are very limited. Are there any downloadable updates that will expand the options available? At the moment I have to upload online and convert which is not ideal, especially considering I spent the money (years ago!) on this software.

A lot has changed with technology since V6. 1080 HD probably hadn't arrived then so naturally the output options represent the formats of that time. I'm not aware that any such options to expand the formats are available. What is your source material and what output formats are you looking for?

If the OP's current computer meets the current VMS 17 P System requirements, he might consider upgrading. His old serial number of v.6 may even be eligible for the special upgrade pricing. Always test with the free trial first though.

Thanks both. My system should take the update so I might look at the upgrade as cost isn't so much. All I'm doing mostly is taking multiple mobile phone videos and editing together into single video (with separate audio tracks captured independently) and then trying various output options that can be used to include in Facebook live and / or sending to family / friends via mobile. So I guess the answer is.... "more variety of output options" so that I can get right balance of quality and size for required purpose. Nothing professional - just decent quality watchable results.

Several cell phone formats will not open in your older version.

Well actually I'm having no problem opening the video files - I'm just wanting more options and flexibility for saving them.
