You can see my review of Vegas Pro 14 in Australian Videocamera Issue 70.

www.australian-videocamera.com

Since writing that review I have gotr my Shuttle Pro 2 working using Nick Hope's and Grazie's instructions, and have also installed thge new Vegasaur 3.0 which works beautifully in VP14.

"Vegas Pro 14 is offered in three versions, the base app called Vegas Pro Edit, Vegas Pro which includes DVD Architect Pro, Dolby Digital Professional encoder and plugins from iZotope and NewBlue, then the whole shebang, Vegas Pro Suite, which adds HitFilm Pro, Vegas Production Assistant and Sound Forge Pro.  Pricing is as before ranging from US$400 to $800 for the full Suite." - See more at: http://australian-videocamera.com/issue/australian-videocamera-sep-2016/article/review-magix-vegas-pro-14#sthash.Q3peaHI2.dpuf

Correct me if I'm wrong, but..., so far I learn..., the Suite version now adds some Boris plugins, NewBlueFX Titler Pro 3. No longer bundled with HitFilm Pro...?

All true. I wrote the review based on the info available up to the release date and an embargoed copy of VP14. So, yes, the Suite offerings are a little different to what was offered in VP13, as is the pricing. Apologies for any confusion. Getting Mercalli 4 is a good addition.

Just to be clear: No existing VASST plug-ins work with Vegas Pro 14 yet.

Oops, sorry JR. I have amended my previous post. Not sure where I got the idea that VASST plugins had already been updated.

Solid review Dave. You tell it as it is. Yup, need to kick in the CSP Prefs. Now, how do I do that.....

Some fella gave us instructions on that a couple of years ago ;)

The latest MAGIX VPro 13 and MAGIX MS Platinum 13 builds (545 and 967) have been reported to have VASST FasstApps working.

My OFX stuff is fine (except for crashing with NB Titler Pro 1.0). FilmConvert OFX plugin seems fine and also the free OFX VisionColor LUT Plugin. Not sure if you'll be able to install these if you don't have a previous version of Vegas though. I expect FilmConvert will update their installer in due course. I'm less sure VisionColor will though (if indeed it's necessary), as the plugin is now hidden from it's main site. Also the 7 Hitfilm OFX freebies that came with VP13 work OK.

Same for SeMW Graide Color Match. Works fine in VP14.

NewBlue TitlerPro4 Ultimate isn't performing. I've got a call out to Caleb at NB. NB CF2 doing well

RG MBL is going well.

Grazie, same issue like I found.

Is the GTX750 Kalm 2GB card supported by v14?

It crashes v13 pretty well; one has to disable GPU everywhere possible to use the program.

I don't want to change the video card because this is the fastest fanless card on the market, and it plays 1080P 50FPS 50mbits/sec nicely

"Need mxf op1a and color bar with tone."

This is available in Vegas Pro since many years.

Baskar wrote on 9/21/2016, 8:53 AM

Colors Bars yes but no tone , op1a imx30?

'AJA KONA LHi' tested preview output works with broadcast monitor 😀

Marco. wrote on 9/21/2016, 9:45 AM

Vegas Pro offers encoding to all standard IMX versions including IMX30.

Anyone receive their upgrade invitation yet?  The website doesn't have an 'upgrade price' option either, that I could find...

Former user wrote on 9/21/2016, 12:08 PM

Yep. I got my email upgrade invite yesterday (9/20). I'm currently on Vegas Pro 12 -- so upgrading for me is: VEGAS Pro 14 Edit is $199; VEGAS Pro 14 is $249; VEGAS Pro 14 Suite is $349. Upgrading from some other version might be different, I don't know...

Paul-Fierlinger wrote on 9/21/2016, 12:28 PM

So jdw, are you saying this should be considerd the established cost of the freshly released upgrades. For instance, since I am on 13 and waiting for the release of 14, I should expect to have to pay $249 for it? This must be just some very screwey communications SNAFU we are recieving, because that to me now sounds implausible as well. No wonder the email ended up in my junk mail folder, unlike evrything else from MAGIX.

Are you sure this is an upgrade and not an introductory offer? Does it actually say "upgrade"? See this comment from Eagle Six: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/magix-will-there-be-an-upgrade-offer--103617/#ca638920

Is it possible to have 2 versions of Sony Vegas Pros installed? 13+14? I have an AMD7970 card. Will this work with 14?

Former user wrote on 9/21/2016, 12:52 PM

I dont believe that the same ugly windows colours are still there did you guys ever take the time to have a look at what a modern video editor should look like . what a load of crap

The title of the email is "VEGAS Upgrade" so I'd say yes, it is an upgrade offer ;-) Here's a snip of the message showing the VEGAS 14 Pro offer (hopefully they don't mind me posting it).

Like I mentioned in my post -- these are the upgrade price(s) that were offered to me and I'm on VP12. I don't know what the upgrade cost is from any other version, including VP13.

With the release of Pro 14, will will it be available for those of us that purchased the pre-release upgrade.  And how do we download it and registar it.
