From the main FAQ: "9. How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. There are 2 ways to deactivate a device so you can activate a different one:

Visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

From the VEGAS Pro Help menu choose Deactivate the Software on this PC. This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required."

Maybe a server problem? But check your activations to see if there are any free slots. In case there are "double" activations try deactivating one.

Hello, i went on the vegas site and used the serial number to activate it but now it isn't letting me put mp4 files onto the software ?

That's a different issue than activation, with which you were helped.

Please start a separate thread for your support issue in the Vegas Pro forum, thanks.

I purchased Vegas Pro 16 DVD, registered it successfully, then installed it on my laptop first to ensure no tech issues would emerge. Then installed on my desktop workstation successfully When I launch Vegas, it asks for activation while showing both GREEN check marks. But activation abends with error related to internet connectivity issue. With strong signal, firewalls disabled, Norton360 disabled, etc -- activation continues sending same error msg.

So I appealed to Magix online activation proc but the "Computer ID" repeatedly fails after trying a dozen numbers. Send work ticket to Magix and they claim a manual or offline activation is not available. So what to do?

You must not reuse your old computer ID number for a new activation or a re-activation.

It will be automatically generated when you complete a new activation and run the program.
