Buy a Steam version. Add it to wish list at Steam and it will inform you about discounts. On Christmas it was more than 50% discount.

Don't buy the Steam version. It's not quite the "full version".

Since there is no ProDad Mercalli in VP15 all other plug-ins almost useless. So better save money with Steam version and buy Mercalli, FilmConvert and MagicBullet)

vkmast wrote on 1/20/2018, 1:47 PM

I' m not referring to the plugins.

So what can be not there in the Steam version of Vegas?

Do a Search on this forum. I would not recommend a version I don't know about.

Too bad you missed the Humble Bundle deal in Dec.  You could have gotten Vegas Pro Edit legit for $20, with a portion of that going to charity, a portion to Humble Bundle, and a portion to Magix.

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/humble-bundle--109698/

I bought 3 copies: one for me, one for my daughter, and one for our local library youth dept.  (I have my keys but haven't actually downloaded my copy yet.)  They sold 162,000 copies, and Magix servers were swamped back then.

This eBay user appears to be reselling that deal.  It comes with lots of other Magix offerings that were part of the bundle:

Note that if he wants the full version which includes Vegas DVD Architect (DVDA "7", e.g. for comparison purposes), Edit misses that.

OMG I can't believe that somebody still using these mirror-rounded-toys named DVD. I'm wondering why Magix still spend forces to update this dead software. I think better improve Vegas and kill all bugs. I know few of them since Vegas v.4)

@Musicvid @Cliff Etzel If you're still looking, the $20+ deal on Humble Bundle is back.

I'm still apprehensive upgrading from VP13 (And even then, I'm not using near as much as Premiere Pro CS6 as I've found it still more stable) Any real advantage other than the price? Davinci Resolve 15 was just announced at NAB and TBH, it sounds like it does just about the same thing as Vegas Pro, but with more hardware requirements. I REALLY want to move to Vegas but it has let me down on more than one occasion, even including short deadline projects.

Not sure what else to say at this point.

Almost finished downloading. If the activation sticks, it's like an early birthday(not saying how many).

My card payment didn't work because a captcha window failed to load. However, PayPal went through in a couple of clicks.

Thanks for the heads up, Nick!

Me neither, but congrats anyway. And to quote a poster from today: "Well sir, that is an entirely different can of worms." 😎 👍

I've been using Vegas Pro 11 for a while now. With this current Humble Bundle deal popping up on my phones email inbox I couldn't log onto my PC, purchase, and download VP14 fast enough. VP11 has served me very very well, but the updates and new features added over the years will serve me even better. I'm really looking forward to spending some time on it for my next project.

I just discovered that the AC3 Studio stream opens in DVDA 5, and without the phase shift preview bug!

Also have the AC3 Pro encoder in another version, so I've got everything except the plugin bundle.
