Can not import clips into the program

arthur1 wrote on 5/12/2019, 2:16 PM

I hope I can explain the stupid thing I did. I can not import media into the program because I accidentally deleted the "import media button". help!!

Perhaps I wasn't very clear... I'm kind of panicking now ...... I'll try again ... in the line on the screen where "transitions" and "video FX" and "Media Generator" are, was another button used for importing media into the project .... and I accidentally deleted it ... and I can't find anywhere how to get it back.

Let me try this again ... when I open a project with video clips and text on the timeline, I don't see the window where all the clips and texts are ( the one next to the preview window) ...

@arthur1 Use the keyboard shortcut 'Alt+1', or click on 'View', then 'Window' and select 'Explorer'.

Thank you for helping ...... I wish I was more technical...... i did what you said and found the import media button but it is now in the wrong place ... it is not where the other buttons I mentioned are, and I don't have the window where my media files usually are..

Yes, I see the files Eagle Six, but I can't get them into my project window or timeline

@arthur1 how about this, close Vegas. Hold down the 'Ctrl+Shift' keys then double left click on the Vegas Pro desktop shortcut. A small window will pop-up, click on 'Yes'. This will then load Vegas with the default installtion settings and layout.

Musicvid.... what does "+1" mean?

vkmast wrote on 5/12/2019, 3:38 PM

According to the always trustworthy Urban Dictionary it indicates the person agrees with a previous or quoted reply to a thread. This applies to this forum as well.

You can always click File>Import>Media. I always do this to import media out of habit, and it won't ever move around no matter which layout you are using.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10
